The Art Of Loving Your Life: 3 Effective Ways To Fall In Love With Your Life

On a day-to-day basis, we’re pretty pessimistic and morose, especially about our lives. In fact, we get bored with it, even when we’re doing the things we love. That’s why, more and more often, we find ourselves dreaming of somewhere else where we’d like our life more. What if it were possible to fall in love with your life, right here, right now? Here are the 3 secrets to learning the art of loving your life!
1 – Stop watching what others do
Without realizing it, every day we fall further and further into a vicious circle that hurts us.
The more we watch TV and social networks, the more we feel that other people’s lives are magical and our own are boring.
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you to drastically reduce your screen time! You can read things that make you feel good, watch videos that make you feel good, but stop watching what others are doing that you’re not.
In fact, by reducing your screen time, you’ll reclaim a considerable amount of time to finally do the things you really love.
You love to read, but you never take the time to do it. Reduce your screen time and you’ll finally have some! (laughs)
What’s more, if you stop looking at what other people are doing, you’ll gradually be asking yourself the right questions: what do I really like? What do I want to do?
Because, if you’re totally honest with yourself, it’s possible that you’ll spend a lot more time wondering what other people are doing in their lives, rather than asking yourself what you want to do in your life.
Indeed, the art of loving your life is to be passionate about it, and that requires time and attention.
2 – The art of loving your life means taking stock of what’s going on in your life.
We’ve learned to focus on the negative, on what’s wrong, on what’s missing, which is why our lives seem more problematic than beautiful.
Except that, over time, this really weighs on us, and so we start thinking about somewhere else. We want to run away! Which makes us feel even worse.
So what can we do?
I wholeheartedly invite you to take stock of your life. That is, instead of focusing on the negative, focus on the positive.
What do you enjoy doing? What are your favorite moments of the day, of the week?
Take the time to look, because you may be feeling a little too disillusioned right now to see the positive in your life.
Take a breath and really look.
If you had to list 3 things you love doing in your life and your 3 favorite moments, what would they be?
Because the art of loving your life is the art of seeing those little things and those little moments in everyday life that are sweet and joyful.
Indeed, don’t think that to fall in love with your life, your life has to be perfect.
Yes, your life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.
3 – Tell yourself a beautiful story
So, often, even when we’re aware that we like certain things in our life, that we love our life to a certain extent, there are still things that don’t fit.
And our gaze keeps dwelling on them.
That’s why, when we think about our life, it’s not always a pretty story.
Yet the art of loving your life is the art of telling yourself a good story.
Indeed, I’ve noticed that we don’t manage to make our lives wonderful. In fact, we’re always finding fault with it, even when everything’s going pretty well, or even very well.
Why do we do this?
It’s as if happiness frightens us, as if we don’t dare admit it to ourselves, let alone enjoy it to the full.
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you to dare to tell yourself a beautiful story about your life. Highlight all the things you like to do in it, all the beautiful moments you experience in it.
I’ll show you an example (laughs): “I live with my husband and my dog, and I love them with all my heart. I have a job that I love.
Every day, I read, write and go for walks. Every week, I play sports, go to the movies and eat good food.
Regularly, I see my family and friends. I enjoy spending time with them.
During the year, I go hiking with my husband; the mountains are my favorite place to walk. I also love the festive season. I always look forward to them.
That’s it, I’ve told a beautiful story about my life and since then, everything has changed! In fact, telling myself this beautiful story about my life makes me love my life more and more. Every day, more and more.
So, if you were to tell a beautiful story about your life, what would it be? Write it down on a piece of paper and reread it every day.
