Fear of other people’s judgment ruins our lives, because we don’t dare to be ourselves. We doubt ourselves all the time. It’s exhausting. So how can we avoid being influenced by other people’s opinions? What can you do? Here are my tips to help you regain your self-confidence and stop ruining your life because of other people.

Stop taking responsibility for the unkindness of others

Too often, when others judge us, we tend to believe that it’s because of us, because of something we’ve said or done. In fact, we believe that others are behaving negatively towards us because of us.

But each person is responsible for what he or she thinks, does and says. In other words, if someone expresses a negative opinion about you, it’s their own responsibility. They’re the ones who chose to look at you in a negative light and say it out loud. In fact, understand once and for all that you’re not responsible for the unkindness of others. What do you think?

Stop questioning yourself and wanting to change for others

We tend to question ourselves as soon as we receive a negative opinion. In fact, because so-and-so thinks we’re too much like that or not enough like that, we absolutely want to change to match his or her criteria.

And then we wonder why we’re not happy in our lives. That’s because it’s terrible what we do to ourselves when we think about it. Because someone makes a negative remark about us, then we think we’re not a good person and that we absolutely must change?

So, with all your heart, stop trying to change for others. If you need to change in your life, if you want to improve some of your qualities or smooth out some of your flaws, do it for yourself and only for yourself. What do you think?

Set an ambitious goal so as not to be influenced by other people’s opinions

It’s because we’re not focused enough on our lives that we let ourselves be influenced by others. It’s because we don’t have an ambitious enough goal to reach that others have so much power over us. What if we could change things?

To do this, set yourself a goal, something that makes you vibrate with joy, something that even scares you a little. Something a little crazy, a little ambitious. What would you like to achieve in the next few years? What results would you like to achieve?

Understand that it’s because your eyes, your energy and your efforts aren’t occupied with something important to you that you’re too concerned with what people think of you. So set yourself a goal and go for it! What do you think?
