On a day-to-day basis, we tend to organize our days so that they are as productive as possible, but we have to admit that they stress us out more than anything else. Here are the best tips for organizing your day so that it’s as happy as possible.
1 – To organize your day: set an intention
Everything starts with an intention. Yet we wake up every day to the sound of the alarm clock, and our heart rate is already racing at the thought of all there is to do this day.
So, to live a happy day, it’s essential to set an intention: “My intention today is to live the happiest day possible.”
These few words are magical, because they will help your mind to focus on what makes you happy, rather than on anything negative.
What’s more, your heart will spring into action and whisper ideas to your mind to make this day as happy as possible.
Put into words what you want to experience in your day, and rest assured you’ll be heard.
In other words, to organize your day, it’s essential to set an intention – to have a happy day – as soon as you wake up.
2 – Do just 2 or 3 things, no more
Our days are stressful because we ask too much of ourselves. Unfortunately, that’s what society encourages us to do. In advertisements and films, we see human beings chasing after activities and victories.
But we are human BEINGS.
That’s why, to make your day as happy as possible, slow down and commit to doing only 2 or 3 important things.
To do this, remember that you’re not a machine and your day shouldn’t be a succession of things to do.
If this is the case, it’s time for you to realize that you’re asking too much of yourself and that your personal value doesn’t depend on what you accomplish each day. What’s more, it’s also time for you to ask for help, delegate and learn to say no.
In other words, to organize your day and make it as happy as possible, it’s essential to slow down.
3 – To organize your day: give yourself a break in the morning and a break in the afternoon.
All too often, there’s no room for breaks in our day. We mistakenly think that if we do one activity after another, we’ll finish earlier in the evening and be able to relax on the sofa for longer.
In one sense this is true, but in another it’s not. Quite simply, because in the evening, you’ll be so stressed and tired from your day that you won’t even be able to relax on your sofa. Yes, stress and fatigue will put you in a bad mood and you won’t be able to enjoy that moment of relaxation.
That’s why, to make your day as happy as possible, remember to take a break in the morning and a break at lunchtime. To catch your breath, relieve stress and regain energy.
Remember, you’re not a machine and you need breaks.
4 – Adopt a new mantra: I have time
Too often, we live our days with the idea that we don’t have enough time. So we run around and wear ourselves out.
And if we repeated to ourselves the opposite, “I’ve got time!”, then everything would be different.
We urgently need to rethink these beliefs that drive us to run around and forget that the purpose of each day is to be as happy as possible.
Take a look at yourself: what are you telling yourself that pushes you to run instead of being happy?
To make your day as happy as possible, I invite you to repeat a new mantra to yourself: “I have time”. And see what it changes in your life.
5 – Put joy into what you do
On a daily basis, we look for quantity rather than quality, even in our diaries.
Yet we realize that it’s better to do less, but better.
So what is it that drives us to multiply our activities rather than savour them?
I invite you to observe yourself and better understand the beliefs that drive you to live this way.
To organize your day and make it as happy as possible, it’s essential to put joy back at the center of your daily priorities.

6 – Do only one thing at a time
We mistakenly think that doing lots of things at once saves us time.
In fact, it’s doing just one thing at a time that makes us the most efficient.
So, here again, I invite you to observe yourself: do you tend to do certain things at the same time on a daily basis?
How do you feel during these moments? What pushes you to act this way?
Then set yourself a challenge: do just one thing at a time for a week, and see how it transforms your days.
To organize your day and make it as happy as possible, it’s essential to return to a gentler way of doing just one thing at a time.
You don’t have to multi-task and bully your body and mind into doing several things at once. On the contrary, allow yourself to enjoy each thing you do, giving it your full and undivided attention.
7 – Praise yourself to boost motivation and self-esteem
Our days are full, and every day we show courage, creativity and perseverance to live them, and yet we don’t congratulate ourselves for it.
Why don’t we?
Haven’t we done our best? Didn’t we tap into our energy? Yes, haven’t we been clever?
So let’s congratulate ourselves at the end of the day. Better still, let’s congratulate ourselves as soon as we’ve completed an activity.
After all, congratulating ourselves and realizing that we’ve done our best is essential to boosting our motivation and self-esteem, and therefore our happiness.
So, to organize your day and make it as happy as possible, it’s essential to introduce a new habit: congratulating yourself!
8 – To organize your day: accept the unexpected
We don’t control everything in our lives. In fact, when you look closely, we don’t control much at all.
In fact, life likes to put its own spin on every moment of our day. It brings us its share of surprises: some beautiful, some not so beautiful.
All we have to do is accept them and do the best we can with what we’ve got.
And yet, on a day-to-day basis, we tend to resist and grumble.
That’s why, to organize our day and make it as happy as possible, it’s essential to remember that, despite our organization, there will be ups and downs, and to accept this.
9 – Always respect yourself
Stress has become a way of life. That means it visits us regularly and we take it for granted.
But stress, when it becomes a habit, prevents us from being happy and even causes health problems.
So, as soon as you feel stressed, it’s essential to respect yourself. In other words, take time out to breathe and de-stress.
You can’t control the arrival of stress, but you can get into the habit of making it disappear as soon as it appears.
It’s simply being respectful of yourself. Yes, stress shouldn’t be a life companion.
That’s why, to organize your day and make it as happy as possible, it’s time to get into the habit of bringing stress down as soon as it arises.
How do you do this? By pausing for a few seconds to come back to ourselves, to our intention to be happy today, to remember that there are ups and downs in every day, but that we can do our best to overcome them one by one.
10 – Remember that our time is our greatest asset
Every day, we have 24 hours and not one more. These 24 hours are gifts given to us by life.
Realizing this changes everything!
Yes, when we understand that our time is a gift, which can be taken away from us at any time without notice, then everything becomes clearer.
We’re not here to prove anything, we’re here to be as happy as possible.
That’s why it’s time to organize your day with this one and only goal in mind.
