I’M Stressed All The Time: 6 Mistakes To Stop Making

I’m stressed all the time is a phrase that illustrates the daily life of many of us. Indeed, stress has become a way of life, accompanying us from morning to night. What if we could free ourselves from it? Here are 6 mistakes to avoid in order to do just that!
1 – Going to bed too late
Sleep is important! If we don’t get enough sleep, our brain doesn’t have time to do its job of storing memories, and we start our day with bits and pieces from the night before.
In fact, we’re not fresh in the morning, and that creates a lot of stress.
I wholeheartedly invite you to make sure you get at least 7 hours of sleep every night.
Unfortunately, we’re not all on an equal footing when it comes to sleep. Some of us only need 6 hours, while others need 9.
Get to know yourself and respect your body. You need sleep to stop saying “I’m always stressed”.
2 – Getting up at the last minute leads us to say “I’m stressed all the time”.
There’s nothing more stressful than rushing out of bed.
Indeed, we hurry, heart pounding in our chest, bumping into everything, grumbling, grumbling at the people around us.
Hurry, hurry, hurry!
Stop! Take a breath and get organized.
Just as I invite you to make sure you get 7 hours of sleep, I invite you to get up 15 minutes earlier in the morning.
15 minutes that will allow you to take your time, to take the time to take care of yourself, to prepare and nourish yourself.
Because we’re not the victims of stress, we’re the ones who invite it in every day, especially when we don’t give ourselves the time in the morning to prepare ourselves calmly.
3 – Not eating breakfast
Our body is an extraordinary machine, but it needs fuel.
So what do we do in the morning? We gulp down a cup of coffee, and for some of us, we smoke!
Where’s the fuel? In the caffeine, the nicotine?
No. Take the time in the morning to drink even a glass of water. Hydrate your body properly.
In fact, we don’t always realize it, but when we get up in the morning and our eyes glaze over, it’s not fatigue, but lack of water.
To avoid stressing your body, respect it. Honor it in the morning by giving it the fuel it needs to face the day ahead.
4 – Not taking the time to say hello and check in
Our leitmotiv “I’m stressed all the time” traps us in a vicious circle. The more stressed we are, the less time we take, and the less time we take, the more stressed we are.
Stress locks us in. It distances us from others.
Because we think we don’t have enough time, we no longer stop for a few moments to chat with others.
And yet, talking, checking in, smiling at others soothes us. In fact, social relationships are not always a source of stress, but of well-being.
Because when we feel close to others, we feel stronger, more supported.
Also, give yourself time to really stop when you’re talking to someone. Take the time to be kind and to listen.
5 – Having too many obligations in a single day leads us to say “I’m stressed all the time”.
The trend is for the To Do List to overflow. Boxes to tick, again and again.
Unfortunately, we’ve forgotten that we’re not machines, and that we have a vital need for time to do nothing, just to reconnect with ourselves and with life.
Stress arises when all we can see is the mountain of things to do, when we forget our status as human beings.
When you hear yourself say “I’m stressed all the time”, that’s the signal for you to sort out your obligations and cut out as many as you can.
Remember: 2 to 3 priorities a day, no more.
6 – Never take time for yourself
Who are you? What do you love? When was the last time you did something just for you?
Let’s understand that it’s normal to be stressed in our daily lives. Stress is basically a natural and useful reaction of our organism. It appears to help us take immediate action.
However, after an episode of stress, we need to rest. After all, stress exhausts the body both physically and mentally.
Unfortunately, in our fast-paced lives and with our tendency to think a lot about others and satisfy their needs before our own, we never rest.
If you often say “I’m stressed all the time”, make sure you take time for yourself, to recharge your batteries.
