My Wellness Routines For A Healthier, More Balanced Life

We’d all like to live a healthier, more balanced life, because it’s the promise of a happy, serene life. The problem is, how do you go about it and, above all, where do you start? That’s why, to help you, I’m going to share my advice with you. In other words, the things I’ve changed in my life to make it as smooth and beautiful as possible.
1 – Do a bit more sport
The first thing I did to make my life healthier and more balanced was to get back into sport. Gently, I assure you.
In other words, if you’re not a sporty person, don’t think you need to go to the gym 3 times a week for 1h30. You don’t.
In fact, I simply invite you to do a little more sport. This could mean going to the pool or taking a yoga or dance class once a week.
You can also decide to walk a little more. In nature, that’s even better!
Find solutions rather than excuses. Because, as I’ve noticed over the years, sport is an essential routine in building a healthier, more balanced life.
Sport isn’t just about losing weight or building muscle. Above all, sport is about feeling good physically, mentally and emotionally.
2 – A better diet for a healthier, more balanced life
The second thing I changed in my life was my diet. I was eating too much sugar and too much fat, and I noticed that this was making me very tired.
It also diminished my self-confidence and self-esteem. In fact, I was stuck in a vicious circle: the worse I felt about myself, the fatter and sweeter I ate, and the fatter and sweeter I ate, the worse I felt about myself.
So, if this sounds like you, it really is time to improve your diet.
To do this, start by taking one of the foods you often eat that’s really too fatty or too sweet, and set yourself the goal of not eating it again for the next 30 days.
In addition to helping you adopt a habit that will make your life healthier and more balanced, this little challenge will really boost your self-confidence and self-esteem. So, what are you waiting for?
3 – Get trained in personal development
This is the advice that changed my life. In fact, personal development has helped me in every area of my life and with every personal problem I’ve encountered.
Not a day goes by that I don’t read a personal development book to guide me in the art of living a happy life.
That’s why I can only advise you to train yourself in personal development. It will help you as it helps me every day. And I’ll be happy to guide you in this learning process.
4 – Declutter your home for a healthier, more balanced life
I’m convinced that decluttering your home is essential if you want to live a happier, more zen life. But how do you go about it?
Start by sorting out your drawers and cupboards. Sort, simplify and air out.
Because the objects in your home have an impact on your sense of well-being and happiness. If you live in a house filled with too many things you don’t like, you’ll suffocate.
Whereas if you live in a house that’s clean and tidy, filled with the essentials and objects you really like, you’ll be able to blossom to the full. So, what are you waiting for?
5 – Manage your time better
To live a healthier, more balanced life, it’s essential that you learn to manage your time better.
In fact, my life changed when I really understood this phrase: “Your time is limited”.
Yes, our time is limited, and it’s how we use it that makes us feel happy or unhappy.
That’s why I invite you to manage your time better. Start by reducing your screen time. That way, you’ll be able to reclaim time to do things that really nourish you and move you forward in your life.
Finally, sort out your activities, commitments and goals. Keep only what’s essential and what contributes to your happiness.
To do this, learn to say no to things that aren’t essential to you. This doesn’t mean you’ll only do things you enjoy.
Shopping and cleaning, for example, are essential tasks in life. But maybe you can delegate them or do them differently to make them as enjoyable as possible.
Remember: find solutions, not excuses!
6 – Anti-stress routines for a healthier, more balanced life
Stress really is everywhere in life, and fortunately I’ve noticed that all it takes is a few anti-stress routines to calm down and even relax.
Personally, I practice mindfulness walking, a bit of meditation and, above all, I keep a diary in which I record what’s weighing on me, but also what makes me feel good.
These routines allow me to let go of my stress and anxiety. That’s why I invite you to try them out, but you can also try yoga, coloring, conscious breathing and any other relaxation technique you might like.
7 – Get up earlier, go to bed earlier
Sleeping means resting not only physically, but also mentally. In fact, at night, we relieve ourselves of the day’s stress. But to do this, you need to get enough sleep and get quality sleep. But how do you do that?
You need to get to know yourself, and above all, you need self-discipline. When we’re tired and stressed, we tend to take refuge in front of our screens. Don’t do that!
Instead, head for your bed and read a book or listen to music, meditate a little, write in your diary. In other words, do something that soothes you and helps you fall asleep as peacefully as possible.
What’s more, by going to bed earlier, you’ll naturally get up earlier. You’ll be able to take advantage of this time to do things that make you feel good.
