8 Rituals To Start The Day With Energy And Motivation

It can sometimes be difficult to get out of bed with energy and motivation. So how can you start the day off right and be in a good mood first thing in the morning? In this article, I’m going to share with you my 8 morning rituals. The ones that help me get up on the right foot and start my day in the best possible frame of mind! Get ready to discover new habits that will help you start the day with energy and motivation.
1 – Meditate again in bed to refocus
All too often, as soon as we wake up, we stress about the day that hasn’t even started yet. We think about everything we have to do and how little time we’ll have to do it all.
And then we wonder why waking up is so hard.
Fortunately, I have a morning ritual that changes everything. In the morning, I’ve got into the habit of lying down and taking 10, sometimes 20 and even 30 deep, calm breaths.
I concentrate on my belly as it inflates and deflates, and not on my negative, anxious thoughts. This way, once my thoughts are gone, I can get up and start the day with energy and motivation.
I wholeheartedly invite you to try it first thing in the morning.
2 – Waking up with a positive mantra to start the day with energy and motivation
Some mornings are harder than others, and in those cases it really helps to have a positive mantra.
In fact, repeating a powerful motivational phrase to yourself can really help you get out of bed with enthusiasm.
My favorite mantra is: “This life is mine and I’m passionate about it. I’m taking on the challenge of having a great day.”
I invite you to take the test. Get up and repeat to yourself, “I’m tired. I’m fed up.” and then get up and repeat to yourself, “I’m fit. I’m looking forward to this new day.
Remember that your thoughts have a major impact on your mood, energy and motivation. So don’t leave them to chance and adopt positive mantras!
3 – Air rooms for a breath of oxygen
We also have a hard time getting our days off to a good start, because we’re always huddled together at home.
How about letting the air, the sun and even the wind and rain into your home first thing in the morning?
Because nature has such an energizing power over us, so take advantage of it every morning. To do this, air out the rooms in your house. You don’t have to do it for hours. In fact, 10 minutes is enough.
4 – Do a few dance steps or squats to start the day with energy and motivation
Because your body needs to move, so move it! Personally, in the morning, I like to do a few dance steps and even a few squats to wake me up.
I have no other aim than to get my body moving a little, to wake it up in a happy, cheerful mood.
In other words, whatever you decide to do to get moving, do it! Just for 1 minute, you’ll see that it will already make a big difference in starting the day with energy and motivation!
5 – Smiling at yourself in the mirror and saying sweet nothings to boost your self-esteem
In the morning, we tend to give in to mental rumination. We drag our feet, cluttering ourselves up with negative thoughts. We need to stop!
I wholeheartedly invite you to stand in front of the mirror and give yourself a big smile. You can make a face if you’re more comfortable with that.
In fact, look at yourself in the mirror with a happy thought or just a “Hello me! I’m sending myself some good cheer for this new day that’s starting!”
I’ve noticed that this little morning ritual improves self-confidence and self-esteem. So what are you waiting for?
6 – A hug, a word of love to vibrate with positive vibes
There’s no better way to start the day than with a little love and tenderness.
So give a hug to your partner, your children or your pet. And if there’s no one there, then send a little message to someone close to you. A little heartfelt, sweet note.
Send some love around you and believe me, you’ll start the energy in the best possible frame of mind. Do the test tomorrow!
7 – A little reading to start the day with energy and motivation
Reading is my favorite ritual for filling up on positive energy and motivation!
The good news is that you don’t even have to read for hours, just 5 minutes is enough!
To do this, read books that appeal to you. Personal development books, spiritual books, poetry, for example.
8 – A To Do List to start the day with energy and motivation
Indeed, to get the day off to a good start, it’s essential to know what you have to do today.
To do this, make yourself a little To Do List with just 2-3 big priority tasks, then smaller ones to do afterwards if you have time.
This To Do List should please you, not stress you out. So keep testing until you find the To Do List that suits you.
