Why is it so important to make your dreams come true? Why should we make our dreams a priority in our lives? Because, all too often, we talk about making our dreams come true, without really understanding their importance. That’s why we don’t put all our energy and creativity into making them possible, at the risk of ending our lives with a heart full of regret.

1 – Make your dreams come true: because we’re here to dream

Why are we here on Earth? I sincerely believe that we’re here to be happy and live life to the full. And to do that, it’s essential to make our dreams come true.

In fact, it’s our dreams that lead us to our happiness, and that drive us to always go further, to learn and discover new things, new places, new people.

Yes, our dreams are our driving force! They invite us to move forward, to swap defeatism for hope.

That’s why realizing our dreams is so important. To spur us on to action, to give our best and to keep learning.

2 – Because we are big children

There’s a great quote that says “If you can dream it, you can do it” by Walt Disney.

And it’s absolutely true.

Yet the older we get, the less we believe in our dreams and our ability to make them come true.

In fact, at school we’ve learned so well to be serious and to fit ourselves neatly into boxes, and when we finally get to realize our dreams, we don’t dream at all.

But why are we here on Earth? Why do we have this incredible ability to dream?

In other words, it’s high time we stopped believing that we’re “grown-ups”, and that to do so we have to get serious about our lives.

Indeed, what if we were simply grown-up children who can now make their dreams come true?

3 – Make your dreams come true: because we’re here to be different

Realizing your dreams means realizing that you’re here to be different.

And yet, we’ve been taught to conform to each other, to fit into a mold and never to break out of it.

But, as we all know, our lives are cramped. And it’s our dreams that will help us become who we really are.

The difference is frightening.

In fact, when we think of “difference” we have the impression that we have a battle to wage against others. But not at all.

In fact, being different is simply being yourself and following your dreams. No more, no less.

We’re not here to be superior or inferior, we’re not here to justify ourselves. We simply have to be and do things our own way, at our own pace.

4 – Because we’re simply doing our part

Realizing your dreams means putting yourself, others and the world at your service.

So there’s no need to revolutionize everything, to do grandiose things or to take up all the space.

In fact, we’re here simply to do our part.

In the end, when we make our dreams come true, we follow our heart, which has nothing to prove, nothing to justify, nothing to take, it just has to offer.

In other words, to realize our dreams is to offer the best of ourselves to the world, no matter how small the gesture.

5 – Make your dreams come true: because you have a good reason to get up in the morning.

In more concrete terms, realizing your dreams is a good reason to get up in the morning.

In fact, taking care of our dreams gives real meaning to our lives. And why is that? Because our dreams invite us to seek out the best in ourselves: our skills, our qualities, our talents, but also our most beautiful emotions: joy, love, hope, determination, perseverance, humility too.

So, if today you’re not sure why you get up in the morning, if your everyday life doesn’t make your heart beat as soon as you wake up, it’s high time you made your dreams come true.

6 – Making your dreams come true: because you go to bed smiling

Making your dreams come true means getting up in the morning with enthusiasm, and going to bed with a smile on your face, with the feeling that you’ve made progress, that you’ve had a day that was worthwhile and meaningful for you.

In fact, it’s feeling in the right place, doing the best thing possible.

In fact, our dreams have the power to anchor us fully in the present moment and make us feel fulfilled!

Yes, our dreams aren’t just about thinking about the future and imagining it better than our present. Above all, they serve to make our present more delicious, more joyful!

7 – Because we set an example for the people we love

It’s not always easy to make your dreams come true, because it’s rare to wish yourself the best.

So let’s change the way we think. Let’s think of others, of the people we love most in the world.

Why do we believe they are here on earth? For the best. To be happy.

In fact, to make their dreams come true.

That’s why it’s so important to lead by example. Because, as we’ve all noticed, other people don’t listen to our advice, but are inspired by what we do.

In other words, if you want to help the people around you to be happy, to live their lives to the full, then it’s time to take care of your dreams.

8 – Because our dreams help us get through tough times

Realizing our dreams helps us get through the tough times in our lives. Life sometimes hits us hard on the head, and it hurts. We fall to our knees, and to get up again, we need great strength, and above all a good reason.

That’s why it’s so important to make our dreams come true, so that we have a good reason to get up again when the going gets tough.

In fact, all too often, we take as few risks as possible in our lives, so as not to put ourselves in too much danger and suffer too much.

Indeed, we believe that it’s our dreams that will cause us to suffer if we don’t manage to achieve them.

But it’s quite the opposite. It’s the hope of realizing our dreams, of taking a small step towards achieving them every day, that will keep us going.

9 – Realizing your dreams: because you leave a mark

We’re afraid of dying, even when we live in denial and don’t want to think about it.

It’s normal to be afraid of dying.

In fact, realizing our dreams is a way of overcoming our fear of death. In effect, we feel we’re leaving a mark. Not necessarily a grand one, but a small one that makes the world a little more beautiful.

Don’t think you have to discover cures or do other great things to make the world a better place.

In the end, making the world a better place is about bringing joy and love into it. And what could be more powerful than realizing what you want to feel joy and love?

So leave a trace of your most beautiful feelings and emotions. Contaminate the world with your joy and love by making your dreams come true.

10 – Realizing our dreams: because we have nothing better to do

This last reason is one of my favorites, the one that always pushes me to pick myself up after a setback and keep wanting to achieve my dreams.

Because, when you get right down to it, there’s nothing else we can do here but make our dreams come true?

Yes, what do we have to do? Be happy? Give the best of ourselves? To learn? Experience life?

Then we’re here to make our dreams come true. That’s what drives us to live life to the full.

In other words, make your dreams come true, because there’s nothing better to do!
