What do you do when you don’t feel like getting up in the morning? In fact, how can we regain the motivation and even the desire to get up in the morning? In other words, how can we take a more positive, dynamic look at our daily lives? Here are 4 powerful tips.
1 – See it as a signal
Not wanting to get up in the morning is a signal, a positive signal. And even as a new adventure begins.
Because when we don’t feel like getting up in the morning, it’s because we’re bored or even stressed by our daily lives.
In other words, it’s time to make a few changes to put joy and happiness back at the center of our lives.
This is extremely positive.
In fact, it’s our heart that’s expressing itself: I want more joy, more happiness, more meaning in this life.
The strange thing is that this translates into heaviness, even fatigue.
It’s as if our heart is saying: if that’s what it is, then I’ll stay in bed. And our body is saying: it’s okay with me.
Our mind, on the other hand, panics: oh no, I’m having a breakdown.
(laughs)
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you to change the way you look at what’s happening to you.
Don’t listen to your mind, don’t panic.
On the contrary, take a curious, benevolent and positive look, because you’re at the beginning of a renewal, a new adventure.
You know, it’s normal to get lost sometimes, to forget our joy and happiness along the way, to let stress and fatigue take over. It happens to everyone, every day.
Now, your joy and happiness are just waiting for you to make small, positive changes in your daily life.
2 – Setting a new goal when you don’t feel like getting up in the morning
It’s quite possible that you don’t have a goal at the moment. Or it’s possible that your current goal simply doesn’t suit you.
That’s why I invite you to honestly ask yourself this question: do you currently have a goal that gives you butterflies in your stomach? A goal you’re proud of and that puts a smile on your face?
If not, it’s okay. It happens to everyone, every day.
So don’t worry about guilt or even shame.
Think of the solutions.
So, how do you set yourself a new goal to feel like getting up in the morning again?
For that, I wholeheartedly invite you to take the time to dream again.
What are you dreaming about right now?
It could be as simple as wanting to get back into shape or starting a new activity.
All too often, we set ourselves grandiose goals that, far from bringing us joy, actually bring us stress.
So, if you don’t feel like getting out of bed right now, turn to your joy and set yourself a small 30-day goal.
And the trick that will change everything is to take the action that will help you reach your goal first thing in the morning.
For example, if you set yourself the goal of getting back into shape, you can start by doing a 15-minute yoga, stretching or fitness session every morning when you wake up.
That way, you’ll have a good reason to get up!
3 – Bringing joy back into everyday life
When you don’t feel like getting up in the morning, it’s a sign that you’ve lost your joie de vivre along the way.
In fact, it’s quite possible that your daily routine has become a burden.
In other words, everything seems stressful, difficult, even agonizing.
No wonder you don’t feel like getting up in the morning.
So, the question now is how can you put enough joy back into your daily life to make it lighter, more joyful?
To do this, I invite you to honestly ask yourself this question: when was the last time you did something that really gave you pleasure and you really savored the moment?
Then you might not even know what makes you happy any more: what do you like?
If you don’t know how to answer this question, this will be your first mission, your first step in this new adventure!
You can start by looking at what you liked to do as a child. You can also take stock of what you like to watch on social networks, and even look at your jealousy.
What makes you envious of others? What are the people who inspire you, or those for whom you feel jealous?
And give yourself permission to do the same.
Because that’s the problem that’s made you not want to get up in the morning: you’re not allowing yourself to do the things that make you happy.
That’s why I’m going to invite you to schedule yourself at least 20 minutes every day to do something that brings you joy.
Simply because life is a gift, not a burden. And it’s all up to you, what you do every day and what your priorities are.
In other words, putting your joy first is the secret to happiness.
And if you don’t, no one else will.
4 – Sorting out your daily routine when you don’t feel like getting up in the morning
Finally, it’s time to sort things out, because if you don’t feel like getting up in the morning, it’s not by chance.
In fact, it means that you’ve let stress take over your day-to-day life, and that by trying to adapt to it, you’ve become tired.
Because we believe that life isn’t easy and that it’s normal to be stressed.
But it’s not!
It’s not normal. Yes, of course, there are difficult events that come our way and that we have to overcome. But day-to-day life, the things you do day after day, shouldn’t stress you out, quite the opposite.
Because happiness and joie de vivre are based on the little things you do every day, on the joys of everyday life.
In other words, it’s time to take control of your day-to-day life.
That’s why I’m inviting you to sort out what you do on a daily basis: cut out, delegate or do differently those everyday things that stress or tire you out.
In fact, invite joy everywhere, all the time in your daily life: when you clean, when you cook, when you go to work, when you shower, when you watch TV.
Add joy and happiness to your daily routine.
It’s your mission, it’s your responsibility.
Because if you don’t change the way you live, nothing will change.
