How to make the most of the Law of Attraction? In the world of personal development, we talk more and more about this law that enables us to create our dream life, but how do we actually do it? I’d like to share with you the 4 steps you need to take to use the Law of Attraction to change your life.

I’m writing this article after reading the book:
The Law of Attraction by Esther and Jerry Hicks
Indeed, this book has what it takes to help us change our lives!
I found this book incredible, because we finally find real answers and real tools to understand and use the Law of Attraction.
I wholeheartedly recommend that you read this book, if you too want to change your life. Indeed, this book will give you everything you need to change your life, without resentment or pain.
How can I make the most of the Law of Attraction? By accepting a few prerequisites
1 – Accepting that we are much more than “that”.
First of all, to use the Law of Attraction properly, we need to understand that we are much more than just “that”. We are physical AND non-physical beings. We have the power to create whatever we want. We are capable of anything, and we deserve the best.
In today’s world, we’re surrounded by information and beliefs. That’s why we lack clarity about who we are and what we’re capable of. We have limiting beliefs that hold us back.
How can we change our lives? By applying the Law of Attraction, which will help us to be, do and have everything we want.
2 – Accept that the law of attraction is a universal law and part of a trio
A universal law is one that applies to everything and everyone, whether we like it or not, and whether we’re aware of it or not.
Two other universal laws follow the law of attraction: the law of creation and the art of allowing.
These 3 laws give us all the creative power of which we are capable, for our greatest good or for our greatest misfortune. The only difference lies in our willingness or unwillingness to apply these laws to our lives.
How can we change our lives? What if we decided to know the rules of the game and consciously “play” the game of life?
Step 1 – The law of attraction
What is the Law of Attraction?
“What is like attracts like.
In other words, like attracts like. This is the essence of the Law of Attraction. It’s the most powerful law in the Universe, because it governs all our lives.
Here are a few concrete examples:
When we start our day in a gloomy mood, we usually end it the same way. We say to ourselves: I should never have gotten out of bed.
The more we talk about illnesses, the sicker we get.
The more we talk about successes, the more we experience them.
To better understand the law of attraction, we can imagine ourselves as magnets. We attract everything we think about, talk about and feel.
If I feel joy, I attract joy. If I feel anger, I attract anger.
This law, as I said earlier, applies whether we like it or not.
How can we use it concretely?
How can we change our lives? By using the Law of Attraction to attract joy, happiness and abundance into your life.
How can we do this? You just have to think about it and want it!
The law of attraction trap
We confuse “I want this” with “I don’t want that”.
Although knowing what we don’t want helps us become aware of what we do want, it’s dangerous because of the Law of Attraction.
The Law of Attraction doesn’t understand negation. Neither does the brain. Try not to think of a pink elephant… Too late! You’ve thought of it, haven’t you?
The Law of Attraction is the same:
“I don’t want any more bills or debts”: it only retains “bills and debts” and that’s what we attract to ourselves…
“If you focus on what you want, you’ll get what you want. If you focus on what you lack, you’ll attract even more lack.”
How to avoid the trap?
When we catch ourselves thinking about what we don’t want, let’s take a few moments to think about what we do want. At first, we won’t be clear about what we want – that’s normal.
Here’s a little tip: to find out what we want, we can set an intention every morning:
“Today, I intend to see only what I want to see in my life.”
The clearer we are about what we want, the more joyful and excited we’ll be at that thought, and the more we’ll attract it to ourselves. What wonderful news!
For the more skeptical among us, I suggest you try it before you say it won’t work. I think we’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain, don’t you?
A tip for making the most of the Law of Attraction
There’s a powerful trick we can use to help us think “positively”. All we have to do is pay attention to the feelings that drive us with this question:
What am I feeling right now?
When we feel a negative emotion or feeling, it’s a sign that what we’re thinking is not what we want. It’s up to us to take a moment to review our thinking and identify what we really want.
What if everything goes wrong in our lives? What can we do about it?
How can we change our lives when everything goes wrong? We’ve just realized that we created our present. Our thoughts and emotions from the past have attracted what we’re experiencing right now. And if we don’t like it, what should we do?
Identify what no longer suits us and turn our attention away from it. In fact, let’s concentrate on what we want now for our future. Let’s not waste our time brooding over what’s happening to us. Of course, this may not be obvious, but it’s the only solution.
How can we change our lives? If we stop brooding over negative thoughts, we’re only reinforcing the Law of Attraction on what we don’t want.
Step 2 in using the Law of Attraction – The law of creation
What is deliberate creation?
Deliberate creation is the belief that our thoughts about what we want will come true. We are inhabited by this certainty.
If I think I want to earn a lot of money BUT it’s difficult, it’s not possible, I don’t deserve it… There’s no chance of it happening.
In fact, we have to believe that it is possible, that we are capable of it and that we deserve it. We have to have faith in ourselves and in this new belief.
We have to expect the results of our thoughts.
How can we use it concretely?
We are invited to set up a “deliberate creation workshop”, every day, for 15 to 20 minutes.
Before we start, we need to make sure we feel good. In other words, do something that makes us smile: reading, listening to music, eating a good breakfast, calling a friend who makes us feel good…
Next, let’s remember that we are much more than “that”.
“You’re not here to prove that you’re valuable. You are! And, you deserve to be, do and have what you desire.”
Then, let’s imagine the life we’d like to live. Let’s be neither too vague nor too precise. Initially, we can focus on a specific area of our life for greater clarity.
The Law of Attraction: how do we visualize what we want?
Fortunately, we are guided by our emotions and feelings. We create the future in the present through our thoughts, but also through the emotions we feel.
In other words, our goal when we imagine what we want to be, do or have for a better life, we need to feel positive emotions: joy, excitement, wonder.
If we feel negative emotions, it’s a sign that we’re starting to get too specific and getting lost in the details: how, with whom, why… Or it could be that we still believe we don’t deserve it, or that we’re not capable of achieving it.
How can we change our lives? By believing that what we want is possible and that we deserve it, by sticking to it every day and by letting our positive emotions guide us.
Step 3 – The art of enabling
What does it mean to “allow”?
To understand this law, we must first understand the first two. The Law of Attraction and the Law of Creation explain that everything we experience is initially created by thoughts and emotions, whether conscious or not.
In other words, the people around us have no power over us. They can’t manifest themselves in our lives, just as we can’t intervene in theirs. Unless we invite them in with our thoughts, or are invited to do so.
“You are free to create your world as you wish, just as others create the world that pleases them, and their choices do not threaten you.”
Yet in reality, this is not what happens. We often feel attacked by others, and we attack others. Why do we do this? Because we don’t allow ourselves to create the world we want, and we don’t allow others to do it their way either.
How can we put this law into practice?
Remember that we are magnets, we attract what we think and feel.
The Law of Attraction is most powerful and beneficial to us when we think about what we want and feel positive emotions: joy, elation…
How can you change your life? By making the difference between tolerating and allowing. When we tolerate something in our lives or in someone else’s, we feel negative emotions. And we only attract that into our lives.
It’s when we allow people to be who they are that we free ourselves from their influence on us, that we attract what we want into our lives. But how do we actually do this?
The other is my mirror
This notion is very well explained in the book “The Power of Acceptance” by Lise Bourbeau, which I wholeheartedly recommend.
I see in others what I see in myself, both positive and negative. In other words, when I don’t accept something in another person, it’s because I don’t accept it in myself.
To accept the other person, to allow them to be who they are and continue to attract beautiful relationships to us, we must first accept, love and approve of ourselves.
How can we change our lives? By learning to accept ourselves in order to better accept others. By doing what we want so that others can do what they want.
What if I don’t like what someone else is doing?
Who are we to judge the actions of others? We have to understand that there’s more to life than our truth. Yes, it’s not the one and only truth in the world. In fact, there are as many truths as there are people living on Earth.
If we come across someone we don’t like, it’s because we’ve attracted them in the past. Today, we have to face up to something we’ve created.
Let’s look at what we don’t like and turn our attention away. Let’s think about what we want for today and tomorrow.
In other words, let’s not waste our time brooding about the other person. Ruminating will only reinforce the thoughts that attracted this person and we’ll create a vicious circle.
Step 4 in using the Law of Attraction – Segmented Intention
What is it?
Wanting what we want is a lot of hard work. After all, our lives are filled with many different areas, all of which flow into one another during the course of our day. Despite the deliberate creation workshop we practice every day, we can’t review everything with clarity.
What’s more, no two days are alike. So we need time to figure out what we want at specific points in our day.
Segmented Intention is a process that enables us to live our daily lives more clearly, by pausing to review what we want at any given moment.
“What I think about today prepares my future”.
How to use it in practice?
Identify the moments when we move from one thing to another: going to bed, getting up (still in bed), getting up (preparing breakfast), going to the car, going to work, a phone call…
Each time we move from one action to another, let’s review our intentions: what do we want, right now?
If we take the time to imagine what we want and feel positive emotions, we’re more likely to get it right, and in the future too.
How can we change our lives? By living each of our actions with a specific thought.
This enables us to live in the present moment and better prepare for the future. Indeed, the clearer we are about what we want throughout our day, the more we attract those things into our future.
