How To Create Positive Emotions: 7 Great Exercises

In our daily lives, we tend to grumble, to see only the negative in every situation. Our eyes are constantly drawn to what’s wrong and what doesn’t suit us. But we’re fed up with all these negative thoughts. We want things to change. So how and where do we start to rediscover the joy of living and vibrate with positive vibes? Here are 7 great exercises for creating positive emotions.
1 – Change your perspective to create positive emotions
Our mind more easily registers and remembers the negative side of every situation. This is its role.
The problem is that, on a day-to-day basis, this exhausts us enormously, and worse still, it gradually destroys our zest for life.
That’s why, to create positive emotions, it’s essential to know how to change perspective.
To do this, I wholeheartedly invite you to take a piece of writing paper and write down the following: “What if I changed my perspective? What if I made it my mission to see only the positive?”
Think back to a situation of the day. A situation that made you feel negative.
And imagine changing your perspective to bring out at least one positive thing. Imagine this is your mission. Search, find the positive.
Do this exercise every time you feel you’re carrying around too many negative thoughts.
Better still, make it a habit. In other words, learn to systematically look back at every situation in your day and make it your mission to see at least one positive thing.
Because it’s urgent to stop letting your mind rule your life. Take back the power and learn to change your perspective.
2 – Practice gratitude to vibrate with positive vibes
If we were completely honest, we could say that we find it much easier to find something to grumble about in a given situation than to feel positive emotions.
Yes, it’s our mind’s job to see the negative. But we don’t have to let it.
That’s why the practice of gratitude is so powerful.
Indeed, when your thoughts are replaying the dozens of reasons you have to grumble about your life and feel bad, list the dozens of other reasons you have to smile and feel happy.
That’s gratitude. It’s cutting short the negative discourse of our thoughts by vibrating positive waves/vibes.
So how do you go about it? Take some writing utensils and list at least 20 reasons why you should smile now and feel good.
20 reasons. It’s a lot, but you can do it! Take all the time you need.
Because the aim is not to list 20 reasons as quickly as possible and get rid of the exercise. The point is to take the time to create positive emotions and feel them fully.
3 – Add poetry to your day to create positive emotions
Sometimes it seems like nothing is going right in our lives. Everything is negative, problematic. So what can we do about it?
In fact, it’s time to put some poetry and even magic back into our lives. To do this, learn to rewrite your story, your life.
Indeed, we can all become poets, those people who know how to make the most trivial things magical.
So, grab some writing materials and have fun answering the question “And if I had the soul of a poet, what magical thing could I tell about my day?” List at least 10 things.
Example: “This morning, my coffee tasted delicious. When I went to work, the sky was pure blue, with no clouds. I heard the melodious song of a bird. I met the eyes of someone I love.”
Take a more poetic look at your life because it’s essential for creating positive emotions.

4 – Go in search of good news
We don’t realize it, but we surround ourselves with negative vibes. Yet we have the choice to silence them. After all, we don’t have to turn on our TVs to watch the news. We don’t have to turn on our TV at all (laughs).
What’s more, we’re perfectly free to go in search of good news. To read about things that fascinate us or make us feel good.
So yes, it’s going to require you to go out and find that information. Indeed, don’t expect to find good news on TV or radio. But it’s worth the effort.
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you to set yourself this challenge: look for at least one piece of good news to celebrate every day.
Good news about you, about someone else, or even about the world. Will you do it?
5 – Personal development training to create positive emotions
You can learn to enjoy life and be happy. You have the right and the ability to be happy in your life.
To do so, you need to learn. Just as I learned.
That’s why, if you’re fed up with your negative thoughts and want to rediscover the joy of living and feel happy, take a course in happiness and personal development.
6 – Live like children and rediscover the joy of life
Have you ever noticed that children don’t grumble much, if at all? So, yes, they may cry foul, but once they’ve done that, they move on.
So why not do the same? Why not live like children?
In fact, what’s stopping you from living like a child?
I invite you to take a sheet of paper and answer this question. Then, ask yourself what it would be like for you to live like a child. Imagine the 10 things that could change in your life, in your everyday life.
Finally, list 3 things you could change in your lifestyle to live more like a child.
Then apply!
7 – Challenge yourself to stop grumbling and create positive emotions
At some point, we have to be honest with ourselves: we grumble a lot, all the time in fact.
So we have to stop. Yes, it’s as simple as that: stop.
To do this, ask yourself: aren’t you tired of grumbling all the time, of vibrating negative waves in all circumstances?
Don’t you dream of being a happy, positive person? Then it’s up to you to stop grumbling.
Yes, of course, it won’t happen overnight. In other words, it won’t be perfect. In fact, you’re going to catch yourself in the act often, all the time even (laughs).
So what? Stick with it. Don’t give up, start again.
To do this, write the words “I’m done grumbling” on a dozen posts and stick them around your home, in your diary and even in your car.
Stop grumbling, because it’s a powerful key to creating positive emotions and rediscovering the joy of living.
