How To Nurture Gratitude On A Daily Basis: My 7 Best Tips

Practicing gratitude is one of the best ways to live a happy, serene life. The problem is, we don’t always know how to nurture gratitude on a daily basis. Most of the time, we forget. And when we do remember, we don’t know how to go about it. That’s why I’d like to share with you my 7 personal tips for being grateful in life and therefore being happier.
1 – Keep a gratitude journal
This is the first thing to do when we want to nurture gratitude on a daily basis.
So, a gratitude journal is a notebook, a notebook, a simple sheet of paper or a note on the phone on which we write every day at least 3 things we feel grateful for today.
In other words, it’s a very simple exercise, yet a very powerful one.
In fact, stopping every day to take stock of what made us happy today feeds our joie de vivre and makes us feel a sense of satisfaction. So, what are you waiting for?
2 – Express your gratitude
Over time, we may forget to say “thank you”, or become increasingly afraid to do so. And yet, knowing how to express our gratitude helps strengthen the bonds we have with others.
Saying thank you doesn’t have to be a big deal. Just saying the word “thank you” is enough. And you’ll see that it already does a world of good.
I invite you to start right now. Go and see someone close to you and say “thank you”, or send them a message.
3 – Always look for the positive to nurture gratitude
We make the mistake of believing that we only practice gratitude when everything is going well. It’s not true!
In fact, gratitude is all the more nourishing in difficult times.
That’s why I invite you to make a new commitment in your life: to always look for the positive, even in the most complicated situations.
In other words, look for the window that opened when the door was closing. Look for the little spark of light in the darkness. You can do it, and you deserve it!
4 – Practice mindfulness to nurture gratitude
Another tip I particularly love for nurturing gratitude on a daily basis is the practice of mindfulness.
I practice it every morning while drinking my tea. To do this, I stop listening to my thoughts and concentrate fully on this comforting, magical moment.
I concentrate on my 5 senses and naturally, as if by magic, I feel deeply grateful.
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you to give it a try tomorrow morning. You’ll love it!
5 – Develop your kindness
In a world that’s not always kind, we tend to protect ourselves from everyone and everything.
The problem is that in seeking to protect ourselves, we close our hearts to others, to life and to ourselves.
In fact, understand that in this life, you don’t need to protect yourself, but to love more.
That’s why develop your kindness. This doesn’t mean saying “yes” to everything – unacceptable behavior, for example. But learn to be kind to yourself, for a start.
You’ll find that nurturing gratitude will come that much easier. Like second nature. So go for it!
6 – Meditate on gratitude
It’s normal to doubt the power of gratitude. Because we experience difficult moments, moments of doubt, and we wonder how we can find reasons to feel grateful.
That’s why, at times like these, it’s a good idea to meditate on gratitude.
Personally, when I doubt the goodness of life, I remind myself that it’s my eyes that are grumpy and fearful, and that life remains beautiful in spite of everything.
I imagine that this difficult moment is a black cloud that is only passing, and that this cloud surely has things to teach me. Meditating in this way allows me to rediscover the path of gratitude and enjoy its many benefits.
What do you think? Will you do it?
7 – Surround yourself with reminders to nurture gratitude
In our fast-paced lives, it’s easy to forget to nurture gratitude on a daily basis. After all, we always have more important things to do and think about.
Yet if you don’t take a little time, you’ll never be able to enjoy the benefits of gratitude, and that’s a real shame.
So, to help you remember and even motivate you to cultivate gratitude, I wholeheartedly invite you to surround yourself with reminders.
It can be gratitude-filled quotes, a reminder on your phone to fill in your gratitude journal. It can be your gratitude journal prominently displayed on your bedside table or in your bag or on your desk.
In fact, find little tricks to remind you to cultivate gratitude and thus nurture your precious joie de vivre.
