Tired of grumbling, tired of wasting time in negative conversations that make you lose all zest for life? Want to put a smile back on your face? It’s only natural! At some point, enough is enough. And the good news is that it’s possible to learn to think positively. Here are the 5 secrets to seeing the positive all the time and regaining your zest for life.
1 – Make a real decision
The problem is that we live in a society in which grumbling and criticism have become the norm.
Yes, it’s normal to criticize.
And, when we start wanting to talk about things that are going well, we feel like we’re embarrassing others with our joy and happiness.
Except that we’re suffocating.
That’s why it’s high time you made a real decision. To make the decision that will change your daily life.
What decision is that?
To think positively, and therefore to see and talk positively. All the time!
Because if you don’t make a decision, then you won’t last and you’ll fall back into negativity and lose your joie de vivre again.
So, I wholeheartedly invite you to take a moment to jot down on a piece of paper, on your phone, in fact, all around you: “I resolve to think positive thoughts and become a positive person, a person radiating joie de vivre.”
To do this, remember to detach yourself from the gaze of others. In fact, stop trying to be like everyone else.
In fact, become the person you want to be, no matter what the people around you do or think.
Because this life is yours, it’s your gift, so live it in the way that makes you happy and joyful.
2 – Set up a good habit for positive thinking
So now, the secret to keeping your commitment is to set up a habit.
Just because you’ve made a decision and written it down on a piece of paper doesn’t mean everything will go perfectly.
Not at all.
Indeed, our bad habits die hard. In fact, we’ve been practicing negative thinking for years.
That’s why it’s going to take time and a lot of practice to succeed in thinking positively in all circumstances.
But that’s okay.
In fact, we shouldn’t focus on mistakes and shortcomings, but on every little victory.
Indeed, every positive thought is a victory to be celebrated and savoured.
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you to set up a daily habit of having positive thoughts at least 3 times a day.
Morning, noon and night.
Set alarms on your phone if you need to.
So, morning, noon and night, practice positive thinking.
Close your eyes and take 3 deep breaths.
And repeat a positive thought to yourself. The one of your choice.
3 – Keep your inspiration at its peak for positive thoughts
So, the secret to positive thinking is knowing how to keep our inspiration at its peak. But how do we do that?
In our day-to-day lives, our attention is often caught up in negative, anxiety-provoking information.
So how do we keep our thoughts positive?
To do so, it’s essential to know how to surround yourself with the right people.
Surround yourself with positive quotes, positive reading and even positive information.
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you to take the time on a regular basis, preferably every day, to read beautiful things: quotes, poems, stories that are gentle on the heart and soul.

Because our minds are made in such a way that they are more interested in negative information. It retains it more easily and rehashes it in order to protect us. But, in fact, it pollutes us and drives away our joie de vivre.
So take good care of your joy by reading beautiful things.
4 – Take action to think positively
How much time do you spend in front of your phone or television? How much time do you spend reading news or seeing things that you haven’t really chosen and that, for the most part, are negative for you and your zest for life?
That’s why you shouldn’t just sit there in front of your screen. Unless it’s to read sweet articles like this one. (laughs)
In fact, I wholeheartedly invite you to do more things with your hands or feet.
Go for a walk, do yoga, cook a bit more or meditate. Color, draw, read, write. Tinker, build, garden.
Just do something. Something just for you, just between you and you.
Don’t try to share it, just do it. Give yourself that time when you forget the world around you, forget the bad news and the negative thoughts.
In fact, dare to follow your passions, give them life, give them time, because that’s the best way to have positive thoughts.
After all, joy doesn’t just fall from the sky. It’s the result of the little things we do every day, with a smile, with curiosity.
So start somewhere. To help you, ask yourself what you liked to do as a child. Dare, test, discover, try again.
5 – Learning to keep quiet
So, thinking positive thoughts isn’t always easy, especially when we find ourselves in very negative conversations.
And that’s what happens to us every day.
At home and at work.
Sometimes, even on the street (laughs).
So how do we manage to see the positive and keep our joie de vivre intact?
To do so, I wholeheartedly invite you to shut up. In other words, stop taking part in the negative, anxiety-provoking conversations going on all around you.
Listen, feel compassion, kindness, even curiosity about what’s being said, but don’t add your own negative words to the negative words of others.
Resist temptation.
Hold back those negative words in your throat.
Breathe, smile softly, silence will come. Be patient.
Then, after negative conversations, start again: reread your decision to think positive thoughts and become a positive person, refocus morning, noon and night, read things that are soothing and gentle to you and do something you enjoy, that makes you smile.
Over and over again.
Never stop.
Because thinking positive thoughts will transform your life. Make it sweeter and happier. And you deserve it!
Remember, it’s your life, it’s your gift. So it’s up to you to live your life in the way that makes you happy.
