How To Get A Buzz: 10 Tips To Restore Your Energy Levels

Because sometimes we drag our feet, starting in the morning. In fact, routine makes us sleepy and bored. So how can we get back on track? Here are 10 magic tips to get your energy up, your joie de vivre back and a smile on your face.
1 – Getting up early
It may seem contradictory, but getting up early is essential for feeling good.
In fact, the energy in the morning is quite different from the energy during the day. It’s lighter, even happier.
What’s more, there’s nothing worse than waking up late and spending the day watching the hours go by, thinking: “Is it 2pm? But I haven’t done anything all day yet.”
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you to get up earlier in the morning. Much earlier.
Now, this doesn’t mean sleeping less. In fact, go to bed earlier the night before so you can get your hours of sleep.
You’ll see that getting up early will bring you new energy you never knew you had.
2 – Practice gratitude for a boost of energy
Indeed, there’s nothing more magical than gratitude to restore your zest for life and put a smile on your face.
Because gratitude reconnects us with what’s most beautiful in our lives and in life in general.
In fact, we stop moaning and groaning and start marvelling, our hearts overflowing with gratitude.
Life is magical, it’s beautiful.
It’s enough to see the trees bloom again in spring, to hear the laughter of a child, the song of a bird, to contemplate this sky so beautiful, so blue and clouds of all shapes.
So I wholeheartedly invite you to practice gratitude, morning, noon and night!
To do so, list 3 things, and even more, that make you feel grateful, grateful to be alive.
3 – Playing sports
If you want to feel energized, it’s essential to exercise. After all, it’s hard to feel energized when you’re slumped on the sofa.
So exercising doesn’t have to mean going to the gym 3 times a week for 2 hours. It really doesn’t.
Sport can be as gentle and easy as a 30-minute walk, a bike ride, a yoga session…
Just remember to move your body regularly.
In fact, as soon as you feel your energy level or mood dropping, put on some good shoes and go for a walk or do a yoga session.
You’ll see, it’ll give you a real boost!
4 – Have positive conversations to boost your spirits
We don’t realize it, but negative conversations, those full of judgments about each other, those that list all the problems of each other and the world as a whole, lower our energy levels drastically and even our morale.
That’s why, if you want to feel better, give yourself permission to stop participating in such conversations.
What’s more, you can put a positive spin on conversations by suggesting new topics and talking about good news about yourself or the world.
5 – Remember that our time is limited
Indeed, when we’re feeling down, remembering that our time on earth is limited can help us extricate ourselves from the sofa and our temporary low morale.
In fact, it’s good to remember that our life is an opportunity, a gift, and that we have the power to make this moment more pleasant, more magical even.
For example, by practicing gratitude, going in for a workout, dancing, singing, hugging our loved ones…
Yes, if you want to feel good, remember that you have the power to make this day magical!
6 – Eat well to feel good
We’re not always aware of it, but eating too much or too little can affect our energy levels and morale.
In fact, not eating well enough can make us tired and grumpy.
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you to try eating a little less, but more often.
Eat a little more vegetables and fruit, and drink a little more water too.
Do some tests and see what works for you to get a boost!
7 – Kicking yourself in the butt
So, sometimes we just need a little kick in the butt and we think it’s going to fall from the sky.
But it’s up to you to kick yourself in the butt once in a while to get a boost.
That’s why, when you feel your energy flagging and your spirits low, kick yourself in the butt.
Get off the couch, don’t listen to your thoughts that tell you: “I’m not feeling well. I’m going to stay here on the couch and do nothing. Poor me!”
Slap your hands together and get off the couch.
Go do something, anything.
Go drink a glass of water or run the dishwasher. Do 10 squats. Do whatever you want. But do something.
That way, you’ll get out of your demoralizing thoughts and see your energy levels and morale soar!
8 – Read or watch inspiring things to boost your spirits
Sometimes we just don’t feel up to it, because we feel a bit lost in our lives.
It’s as if nothing were moving forward, as if we were treading water, and that’s very unpleasant, even demoralizing.
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you to read or watch inspiring things: read biographies or watch documentaries on personalities or subjects that fascinate or intrigue you.
Because sometimes all we need is a little inspiration to get us going.
9 – Sing a positive affirmation
It may sound crazy, but it works. In fact, take a positive affirmation like “I’m in great shape” or “I’m happier and happier in my life” and sing it.
Over and over again.
Move your body, clap your hands, stomp your feet.
It’s an explosive little ritual! You’ll be energized and in high spirits in no time.
10 – Jump on the sofa for a boost of energy
Again, it sounds crazy, but it’s magic!
Indeed, a little above, I told you not to stay with your demoralizing thoughts on the couch.
I was telling you to get up and do something. So jump on the sofa, like a child would.
Invite the people around you to join you, invite your pet too.
Because, all too often, we lose our energy and our joie de vivre by giving ourselves too many rules, too many things to do, which is why going back to childhood feels so good.
