How To Find Your Passion: 7 Magic Tips

Finding your passion has become an increasingly obsessive quest. Our work and our passion now have to coincide. What anguish! What if a passion was a more personal moment that made us just as happy? Here are 7 tips for finding your passion without the pressure.
1 – Understanding what a passion really is
A passion is NOT necessarily :
grandiose
altruistic
fashionable
lifelong. You can change it as often as you like!
In fact, a passion doesn’t necessarily have to become a profession. You can have a passion at the weekend, for a few minutes a day at home, or whatever.
In other words, a passion :
is something we like to do
makes us smile
that makes us feel good
that makes us lose track of time
That’s why it’s quite possible that you already have one or more passions!
Indeed, very often, when we think we don’t have any passions, it’s just that we don’t know where to look.
2 – Discover what you love to do to find your passion
Do you like it?
eating, cooking, knitting, organizing, thinking, writing, reading, watching a film, chatting, building, drawing, walking, running, listening to music, learning, joking, inventing, calculating, reciting, coloring, painting, training, motivating others, leading, explaining, reassuring…
Which of the 5 things I’ve just mentioned do you like doing the most? Why or why not?
Unfortunately, it’s not always easy to know what we like to do. In fact, sometimes we put so many barriers in our way that we don’t really feel anything anymore.
In fact, all too often, we do something we love, but so automatically or under so much stress that we no longer feel happy doing what we love.
So I invite you to make a list every day.
Yes, every day, make a list of 10 things you liked to do or didn’t like to do. That way, as the days go by, you’ll get to know your tastes a lot better and discover your passion(s).
3 – Ask yourself what you’re being asked about
This is a powerful question, because it allows us to recognize our strengths. Indeed, we tend to look at ourselves in a negative light, focusing on our faults and weaknesses.
It’s a shame, because behind our strengths lie our passions.
So, over the next few days, or even weeks, take note of the questions you’re asked or the advice you’re asked?
Also ask yourself: what subjects do I like to talk about, read up on, give advice on?
What subjects give you a thrill when you talk about them?
4 – Find what disconnects you from everything to find your passion
The title says it all A passion makes us lose track of time.
What do you like to do so much that you forget to look at the clock?
What would you do again and again if you had no time constraints?
In fact, what disconnects you from everything?
Because it’s essential to understand that a passion doesn’t serve to prove anything to the world, it serves to make us happy by disconnecting us from everything, especially the hassles of everyday life.
In other words, to find your passion is to find that moment that you allow yourself, during which you feel fully alive and out of time!
“A passion is a breath of oxygen.
5 – Imagine winning the lottery to find your passion
Too often, in our day-to-day lives, we stop ourselves from doing things because we’re too serious. Yes, we think we have to do “useful” things.
But if we won the lottery, if we had no more constraints in terms of time and money, what would we do?
That’s why this question has the power to stop us setting limits.
So, take the time to answer this question, allow yourself to dream, to look deep inside yourself for what really makes you vibrate with joy.
So, what would you do if you won the lottery and no longer had any constraints? What would you do with your days?
6 – Asking ourselves what we regret
I love this question, because it goes straight to the gut. It bothers us and messes us up.
In my opinion, it’s not a bad thing to talk about regrets, as long as you have the will to put things right and make them a goal.
So ask yourself this question: what would you regret not doing more of in your life?
Remember, to answer this question, don’t let fear or guilt get in the way. Instead, go for your truth: what is it deep down inside that really makes you tick?
7 – Take time to find your passion
On a day-to-day basis, we are too serious. We think we have to do useful, intelligent things. In a way, we’re trying to prove to others that our life is important, that it’s serious!
But, to find our passion, it’s essential to understand that life isn’t serious, that we’re not here to prove anything or check off boxes on our To-Do List.
Yes, we’re here to be happy.
In other words, finding your passion means finding what makes you happy!
That’s why, every day, give yourself time to do what you enjoy. If only for 5 minutes.
