How To Get The Day Off To A Good Start: 6 Gestures That Will Change Everything

It’s not always easy to get out of bed in the morning. We even tend to drag our feet. And we end up rushing because we’re late for work or to take the kids to school. So how do you get the day off to a good start? How can you leave home in the morning in the best possible mood? Here are 6 gestures that will change everything!
1 – Get up 10 minutes early
There’s nothing worse than waking up knowing we won’t have time to get ready. And yet, we persist in getting up late.
In fact, if you want things to change and get your day off to a good start, you need to change some of your bad habits.
The worst of all being staying up too late.
I know a thing or two about that. I’m the first person to watch a film at night and say to myself, I’m going to watch the beginning of the second one. What a mistake! Because it’s impossible to get off the couch afterwards (laughs).
So, if this sounds like you, I invite you to set a bedtime alarm. You’ll see, it works!
Then, in the morning, get up 10 minutes earlier than you should. These 10 minutes will give you a better start to the day, because you’ll be able to do the same things, but more gently and consciously.
Because feeling good is, above all, being aware that we feel good.
But most of the time, we’re so stressed that we’re not aware of anything.
Personally, my best mornings are no different from any other, but they’re the ones when I do things mindfully and gently.
In other words, to get your day off to a good start, you need 10 minutes more than usual. So decide on a bedtime and set an alarm!
2 – Think positive thoughts to start the day off right
The first thing I do in the morning is have a positive thought. Personally, I say, “Thank you beautiful Universe, thank you for this new day.”
But it can be something else entirely for you.
It could be a quote you’re particularly fond of at the moment, or a simple “Thank you” said from the heart works just as well.
Because the point is to feel gratitude, because gratitude has immense power over our lives and our level of happiness.
In fact, the more gratitude we feel, the more beautiful and rich our lives seem.
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you to have a positive thought before you even get out of bed.
To think about it, put a piece of paper on your bedside lamp or put a message in your phone’s alert.
3 – Look in the mirror
Running around, we’re no longer aware of anything, not even ourselves. In other words, we become a kind of machine with a whole bunch of things to do today, and that’s it.
In other words, we no longer see our emotions, but our bodies too.
That’s why we shouldn’t be surprised when we get sick or a part of our body starts to hurt.
In fact, we abuse ourselves a little by trying to go too fast and do too much.
That’s why, to get the day off to a good start, it’s essential to have a moment for our bodies.
For this, I wholeheartedly invite you to look yourself in the eye in the mirror when you brush your teeth.
And say to yourself: “Thank you, dear body, for this new day”.
Indeed, it’s essential to remember that our body is our best ally in this life. Without it, we wouldn’t be here.
So, at first, when I started to look myself in the eye, I felt a little embarrassed, but that’s normal. Now I’m really enjoying it. In addition to this phrase for my body, I add, “I love and accept myself as I am.”
Because I often have negative thoughts that replay what went wrong the day before, so with this phrase, I forgive myself for my mistakes and make peace with yesterday.

4 – A little sweetness to get the day off to a good start
I know that not everyone is hungry in the morning, and I also know that some people say they’re not hungry, but that’s because they’re far too rushed and stressed for that.
But, if you get up 10 minutes earlier, then you should be less stressed (laughs).
That’s why take the opportunity to eat something sweet. Chocolate, a little cake.
Because it’s important to indulge yourself first thing in the morning. It makes you feel happy, and then there’s a better chance of that joy following you throughout the day.
In fact, this early-morning sweetness is one of the secrets of the century-old Japanese of Okinawa. In fact, every morning, they eat a little sweet and it makes them happy.
So why not give it a try yourself?
Personally, I’m a fan of this morning habit. (laughs)
5 – Do something relaxing and inspiring
When I invite you to get up 10 minutes earlier, it’s not to clean the house or check your e-mails before going to work.
If I invite you to get up 10 minutes earlier, it’s already to do things gently and consciously.
What’s more, if you have a little time left over, you can take advantage of it to do something relaxing and inspiring.
You can meditate or read for 5 minutes.
Those 5 minutes can really change everything and get your day off to a good start.
I wholeheartedly invite you to try it out for a week and see for yourself.
Personally, reading for even 5 minutes in the morning makes me feel calmer, and this serenity helps me start my day better.
6 – An intention to get the day off to a good start
It’s time to leave home and go to work, or as in my case, it’s time to set up your desk at home, so take a moment to set an intention.
What’s your intention for the day ahead?
My favorite intention is: “Today is the perfect day to be happy.”
And, it’s as if this intention guides me throughout my day.
In fact, it helps me to calm down in case of worries and also to motivate me to do the things that are important to me.
In fact, intentions are truly magical, because they invite us to live more consciously, more from the heart, but they also mobilize our mind, giving it the mission to focus on the good and know how to relativize negative things.
