Change Your Mindset: 5 Tips To Seeing Happiness Everywhere And In Everything

Changing your mindset is the key to living a happy, successful life. After all, our happiness doesn’t depend on external circumstances, as we might think. In fact, it depends on the way we think and see things in life. That’s why I’m sharing with you 5 tips to help you change your mindset to be happy in all circumstances.
1 – Changing your mindset means no longer running, but living
Why do we run? What are we running from?
In fact, we think that happiness lies outside us, in people, objects and places, and that’s why we run.
In fact, we’re constantly running after our happiness. Without ever really attaining it, or at least never sustaining it.
And, unfortunately, in the process, we destroy everything. Starting with ourselves: our health, for a start. Stress, frustration and the fear of running out eat away at our insides and exhaust our bodies.
Then, we destroy ourselves, because we don’t take care of our needs, because we’re blinded by our race.
What’s more, we destroy others. In fact, we contaminate others with our stress, fear and frustration. Sometimes, we even hold them responsible for the fact that we don’t feel happy. It’s their fault, because we think they don’t take enough care of us.
Finally, we’re destroying the planet, because we think our happiness is to be found in ever more sophisticated objects or in ever more remote parts of the world. We are constantly consuming and moving, creating a lot of pollution and destruction.
What if we stopped running and simply lived? Live where we are, with what we have and the people around us?
What if we stopped wanting to be somewhere else, with other things and other people?
Here’s the key to changing our state of mind and enjoying happiness at all times.
2 – Stop wishing, start wondering
We have learned to want more and more. Just look at the speed of technological progress. In fact, as soon as something comes out, it’s already obsolete and we’re looking to replace it with something new.
We desire all day long, and so we invite frustration into our daily lives.
Yes, we’re frustrated by always wanting more, always wanting something else. And this blinds us.
We no longer see the beauty that surrounds us. The magic, even.
How long has it been since you marveled at the magic of life?
Like the birth of a child, the blossoming of a flower, the song of a bird and a sunrise.
Changing our mindset means exchanging our desires for the magic of life. It surrounds us, and is even within us at every moment.
In fact, how long has it been since you took the time to listen to your heartbeat?
And yet, it’s magnificent music, perhaps the most beautiful of all. Because without your heart, you wouldn’t be alive right now.
That’s why I invite you to replace your desires with moments of wonder.
3 – Changing your mindset means no longer resisting, but accepting
We’ve learned that we can control everything in our lives, so we resist what is.
Indeed, when we don’t like something, we say to ourselves, “It can’t be.”
And, almost like capricious children, we stamp our feet on the ground and cross our arms over our chests, saying, “No, it can’t be. This isn’t what I asked for”.
It’s not a caprice, of course; in fact, it’s a normal reaction when we understand that we’re afraid.
In fact, when things don’t turn out the way we planned, we’re faced with an unprecedented situation that inevitably frightens us. Unconsciously or consciously, we ask ourselves: “Do I have enough resources to cope with this new situation?
But rather than mustering the best of ourselves to overcome a situation, we tend to resist, and thus deny what is.
In this way, we waste an enormous amount of time and energy, because we can’t control what happens to us. It just happens to us.
Unfortunately, rather than being in gentle, serene acceptance, we’re in resistance, which is full of stress and even aggression. And we vibrate with this in the world and with the people around us. In other words, we aggress what surrounds us and we aggress our own bodies.
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you to change your mindset and learn to accept what is.
4 – Changing your mindset means no longer wanting to change your life, but to be patient.
In the age of personal development, we’ve come to believe that we can change everything in our lives. In fact, we think we can have absolutely anything we want, based on the principle: “Where there’s a will, there’s a way!”
Yet, as we can see, this isn’t always the case. In fact, it’s rarely the case. And why is that?
Because we’re part of Life, and Life always throws in its two cents.
And, unfortunately, also in the age of social networking, where we have the impression of being surrounded by people living “perfect” lives, it’s hard for us to accept our lives as they are.
That’s why we set out to conquer our dream life and actually spend our time wanting to change our life.
In order to have everything and everything right away, we spare no effort, and this exhausts and frustrates us to no end.
In fact, it’s as if we’re constantly fighting against our present, which never satisfies us, because we’re always aiming for a future that’s much better, much more exciting, much richer in everything.
And yet, when we come back to ourselves for a moment, we realize that we can’t go on living like this, and that we need to change our mindset.
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you not to always want to change your life, and to learn to be patient with what you have. Find a way to satisfy yourself and find joy in what you have.
5 – No longer afraid, but loving with all our heart
In life, we don’t always realize it, but we have two choices: to feed our fear or to feed our love.
Fear is a perfectly natural emotion, but like all emotions it only appears for a few seconds, simply as a signal: “Look, this situation is unprecedented or this situation reminds me of another situation in which we were afraid.”
Then it’s up to us to let go of the emotion and choose how we want to react.
Unfortunately, in our daily lives, we feed our emotions, and particularly our fear. Indeed, we feed it with our thoughts, with our pessimistic projections: “This is going to happen and it’s going to be horrible…”
What if we responded to fear with love? Here’s the final key to changing your mindset.
Because fear is also a signal to our soul, which incarnated in this body to have human experiences, lots of them. Indeed, its aim is to rise, learn, evolve and grow. And when fear arises, it’s precisely because we have the opportunity to rise, by mustering our courage and resources to give the best of ourselves in a very particular situation.
Yes, fear shows us our learning path.
That’s why we can stop feeding it and let our love for ourselves and for life and its teachings grow.

I recommend this inspiring book:
Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela Duckworth
The author explores the concept of grit – a combination of passion and perseverance – and its profound impact on success. The book argues that cultivating a grit mindset is essential to achieving long-term goals and overcoming challenges. It draws on research and real-life examples to illustrate how passion and tenacity, rather than innate talent alone, contribute to success. Grit serves as a roadmap for all those seeking to change their mindset, encouraging them to consider effort and resilience as key elements in the pursuit of excellence.
I think this is a novel to add to your shelf of self-help books. It’s filled with countless examples and expert research that demonstrate how courage defines human beings. You’ll feel smarter and stronger every time you turn the page.
