Chronic Dissatisfaction: The 3 Causes Of Eternal Dissatisfaction

Chronic dissatisfaction is a real curse that prevents us from being happy in life. So how do we get out of it? Where to start? Here are the 3 causes that drive us to be eternally dissatisfied, and the best way to finally live happily and at peace with our lives.
1 – Chronic dissatisfaction means wanting what you don’t have
In fact, we often want what we don’t have, and we think it’s normal. Yes, it’s normal to want something else or to want more out of life. The problem is that the eternally dissatisfied don’t try to transform their desire into a concrete objective. In fact, he puts himself in the position of victim, often thinking that he’s incapable of realizing his desire. So they lament a lot and sigh, saying to themselves: “Ah, if I could have that, if I could do that” or “Ah, if that could happen to me”.
So, in the end, the problem isn’t so much wanting what you don’t have. In fact, it’s not wanting what we don’t have that makes us fall into chronic dissatisfaction, it’s the fact that we don’t do anything to make our desire come true. That’s what makes us feel unhappy and unwell.
So what can we do? We have two choices. The first is to roll up our sleeves and take action to get what we don’t have. The second is to work on our desire and let go of it. These two choices allow us to get out of the victim position that makes us unhappy. So, what are you waiting for to make a choice?
2 – Stop wanting what others have
In the age of social networking, we have access to other people’s private lives: like their taste in decoration, cooking or cinema, or their talents for drawing, cooking, gardening or whatever. And, unfortunately, we haven’t learned to welcome this with curiosity and inner peace. In fact, we become jealous and start to criticize ourselves, because we compare ourselves negatively with others.
This is why the eternally dissatisfied will fall into this trap, wanting absolutely to have the same talents and objects as others. Chronic dissatisfaction will be compounded by jealousy and perhaps even self-hatred. So how do you get out of it?
At times like these, you have to come back to yourself: what are my talents? What are my possessions? And if the answer to these two questions isn’t obvious, it happens, but it’s an important, revealing sign. It means that instead of looking at others, it’s time to look at ourselves, to cultivate our own talents and take special care of our own way of life. What do you think?
3 – Stop wanting what you’ve had and lost
It’s normal to regret what we’ve had and lost, but the problem is that when we suffer from chronic dissatisfaction, it takes on too many proportions and pushes us into unhappiness and unhappiness. So what can you do about it?
Personally, when I feel I’m falling into nostalgia for something and a feeling of dissatisfaction starts to take up too much space in my present, then I cultivate gratitude. In fact, I remind myself that, in the past, I was lucky enough to have what I’ve lost today. And even if I lost it, I was lucky.
Then, I cultivate gratitude for my present, because although I’m missing this thing, I currently have other things in my life. I list them one by one, and the gratitude that comes over me drives out dissatisfaction. So it’s very powerful. So what are you waiting for?
Because the best remedy for dissatisfaction is gratitude! Gratitude for what we currently have. It’s a feeling that needs to be worked on and nurtured on a daily basis. In fact, we need to understand that chronic dissatisfaction is a vicious circle that we fall into, but that we also maintain. Yes, we maintain our dissatisfaction. And if you want to get out of it, you need to cultivate more positive feelings than dissatisfaction, jealousy and self-judgment. In fact, cultivate gratitude and kindness towards yourself. Will you do it?
4 – Be satisfied with what you have, and even more, love what you have.
If you’re tired of being a perpetually dissatisfied person, then it’s time to change things. Because if you don’t change anything, nothing will.
Personally, here’s the change I made that helped me get out of chronic dissatisfaction: when I see that I’m bemoaning something I don’t have, I look for solutions to get what I’m missing while cultivating gratitude for what I already have. And that’s changed everything.
In fact, I’ve come to understand that our problem isn’t being dissatisfied in life, it’s not doing anything about our dissatisfaction; worse still, it’s letting it devour us and our happiness.
So when we feel dissatisfaction, we need to see it as a signal. A signal to roll up our sleeves and build for tomorrow, while cultivating gratitude for today. It changed everything for me, so what are you waiting for?
