How can we find inner peace when our minds are always on the alert to criticize and judge? We’re consumed by doubts and anxieties. There’s too much noise, too much negativity inside us. What if we were to calm ourselves down? How can we do that? Here are 10 thoughts that do us good!
1 – I have the right to dream!
Our ideal life begins with a dream. We meet our ideal partner in a dream the first time. And we also see our ideal job in a dream.
In fact, we need dreams to know what’s right for us, what’s right for us. Unfortunately, all too often, we put barriers in the way of our dreams. And if we’re not the ones putting up barriers ourselves, it’s those around us who tell us: “Come back down to earth, you’ll never make it. You’ll never make it.”
You have the right to dream. To dream is to set yourself on fire. To dream is to go beyond your limits. It means giving yourself all the rights, all the abilities, all the intelligence and all the money you want. Dream without limits!
If you put barriers in your dreams, how can you live your ideal life? It’s important to take the time to dream, because it all starts with a dream. It’s important to take the time to dream, because it all starts with a dream.
If others around you aren’t ready to hear your dreams, don’t tell them. You have the right to dream and to keep your dreams to yourself.

Our present isn’t always what we’d like it to be, but it is our reality. And I invite you to thank the Universe, Life, for your present.
Too often, we stress, we lament, we get angry at what we’re experiencing without realizing that we’re hurting ourselves.
What if you changed the way you look at your present? What if you found good reasons to say thank you?
There’s so much to be thankful for, even if it’s just for being able to live.
When you feel anger, frustration and despair flooding over you, breathe and give thanks. Make peace with your reality; only then can you change it. The more you resist, the more what makes you unhappy persists.
Bring happiness, joy and gratitude into your life, and you’ll see that it will bring you more and more reasons to feel happiness, joy and gratitude.
How do you find inner peace? By saying thank you.
3 – I deserve to be happy and to do what I love
It’s normal to want to be happy, and to feel happy we need to do what we love.
So it’s perfectly normal for you to want to do a job you enjoy, to organize your time the way you want. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, not even yourself.
Don’t listen to that thought: “What do you think? You think life is always about doing what you love.”
And why not? Living is a miracle, so how can we keep repeating terrible things like this to ourselves: Life isn’t about having fun and being happy.
Of course it is!
So I’m not telling you to put yourself in danger and stop everything overnight. Indeed, in the world we live in, we need a little money to eat and live in. But you can continue to do what you don’t like to support yourself, while working to discover and do what you love. What do you think?
How can you find inner peace? By reminding ourselves, every day, that we deserve to be happy and to do what we love.
4 – How to find inner peace: I am a beautiful person
Having flaws is not a disease to be cured. We are all light and shadow. You have the right to have flaws, to have shortcomings and to make mistakes. You don’t have to be perfect, nobody does!
So stop seeing yourself only in the negative. See your light too. Give yourself the right to shine. The more you see your light, the more you’ll see everyone else’s.
You have the right to shine. You’re a beautiful person! Repeat this to yourself as often as you need to. Let your smile blossom at the thought and your heart leap with joy. You are a beautiful person.
Finding inner peace means feeling from deep inside that we are beautiful people.
5 – I have the right not to know and to be wrong
Too often, we stop ourselves from doing things, and sometimes even stop ourselves from living altogether, because we’re afraid of being wrong. We stop ourselves from talking, from experimenting…
So, are we condemned to doing only what we know how to do? To never evolve, to never learn?
Let’s stop trying to know everything before we learn. It’s just not possible!
Accept that you don’t know and that you’re wrong. Forgive yourself. And don’t take yourself too seriously. The Earth isn’t going to stop turning because you made a mistake. Accept that you’re not perfect.
Finding inner peace means loving ourselves enough to give ourselves the right to make mistakes.
6 – I have the right to change my mind
Making a decision can be an ordeal. We’re afraid of going down the wrong path and having to live with something that doesn’t suit us.
Why not change your mind along the way? Is it really impossible?
Everything is possible. Anything is possible!
You have the right to make a decision and the next day change your mind. Why? Because everything changes. Because everything changes. What seemed right yesterday may not be right today. What made you happy yesterday may not make you happy tomorrow, so change your mind, change your path!
We don’t really care. We’re free. You’re free.
How can we find inner peace? By accepting that everything changes and that you’re free to choose the path that suits you best at every moment of your life.
7 – How to find inner peace: I believe in myself, in Life and in tomorrow.
Today’s tendency is to say that we don’t believe in ourselves.
Do you know what a bad excuse that is? A bad excuse for not taking charge of our lives. So we can hide our fear of failing, falling, getting up and succeeding.
Believe in yourself! Yes, the only thing you have to do in this world is believe in yourself, believe in Life and believe in tomorrow.
Without that, you can’t build anything, feel anything. You’re left on the sidelines of life.
Believing in yourself isn’t something you get, it’s something that comes naturally to you. You stop believing in yourself when you listen to your mind telling you horrible things. Stop listening to it and concentrate instead on the impulses of your heart. Your heart knows what’s good for you. It guides you with the joy of living.
Take risks and do what your heart tells you. That’s believing in yourself.
How can we find inner peace? By preferring to follow the messages of our heart rather than those of our mind.
8 – By taking care of myself, I take care of the world
Taking care of oneself is almost taboo these days. It seems to be reserved for the selfish of the world.
Not at all! Taking care of ourselves is an essential condition for taking our place on Earth.
It’s by neglecting ourselves that we do harm to those around us. Other people think they’re responsible for our happiness, and we weigh on their shoulders. Taking care of ourselves means taking back responsibility for our happiness and our lives.
How can you make those around you happy if you’re not happy yourself? And how can you be happy if you don’t take care of yourself?
Make yourself your priority! Take time to recharge your batteries on a regular basis, so you can take care of others and the world.
9 – How to find inner peace: My place on this Earth is sacred
Too often, we’re afraid to talk about our gifts, our talents and our mission on Earth. We’re afraid of taking up all the space, of shining too brightly.
Know that you will never be superior to anyone, and no one will be superior to you. We are unique and complementary.
In fact, it’s a strange mix: we have everything we need to be happy, yet we also need others. We are totally free and at the same time all interdependent.
Your light will never extinguish that of others; on the contrary, you will inspire them with courage and hope. And other people’s light doesn’t have to extinguish yours. The world needs your light too, because you’re just as valuable as everyone else.
How can I find inner peace? By realizing how important you are. Yes, you are important. The world is waiting for your light. Don’t be afraid, because your light is as beautiful as anyone else’s. There’s room for everyone.
10 – I’m not alone in finding inner peace
Sometimes life hits us so hard on the head that we feel alone, locked in our grief. No matter how hard we look, or how far ahead we look, we see nothing but pain.
Take a breath. You have the right to feel bad. You have the right to cry in despair and to be angry.
During these moments, I invite you to think of one thing, and one thing only: I’m not alone. Other people have gone through, are going through or will go through the same thing as you. You are not alone in your grief. You have human brothers and sisters.
Just like them, and thanks to them, you’ll get back on your feet.
How can you find inner peace? By feeling that you’re not alone. You never have been and you never will be.
