For this prayer for a new world?

I feel particularly called these days by these words and the hope they carry…..

…. “a new world”.

There’s a lot going on in me, and in many of our Experience trainees too…

powerful realizations
emotions welcomed
wounds comforted
vibrant values…
… that emerge from a context that might otherwise seem gloomy.

I say “might” because I’m convinced, now more than ever, that we have a choice.

To cultivate the part of us that’s afraid, that suffers, that’s hurt.
To cultivate the part of us that is Joy, Love and Beauty.
And this choice isn’t tomorrow, or next year, or when I’ve finished my training / changed jobs / moved house…

That choice is this very second.
One second can make all the difference.

A great way to contribute to the collective creation of this new world?

Draw your most beautiful thought about yourself, and about this new world.

What would it look like?

Take a few moments to find that thought and send it to the rest of the world.

Here’s what came to me in that moment of contemplation and connection.

My prayer for a new world
“For all beings on earth, for those who suffer, whether their pain is physical, or mental ;

For all beings who are afraid, who fear for their lives, who fear for their identity;

For all beings who suffer from wounds of the heart, who live in need and expectation;

For all beings who are unaware that they are a source of love, light and joy, inexhaustible and available at every moment;

For all those who struggle and all those who have given up;

For all those who want to believe that a New World is emerging… and that they can contribute to it;

May you be free from suffering, free from physical or moral pain ;

May you see in yourself the most beautiful being, the most beautiful source of love, kindness and compassion ;

May you realize that we are all connected, linked and united;

May you recognize the magic in every moment, the rising sun, the freshness of a river, the laughter of a child, the crackling of a fire;

May you rest in the moment, savor it, feel the timelessness of the present, its depth, its richness, its fullness;

May you hear birdsong, the purity of a melody, the beauty of a poem;

May you see the miracle in everything, starting with yourself;

May you connect with your inner resources, your strength, your power, your ability to create in every moment;

May you recognize and welcome your shadows, your suffering, your failures and your mistakes;

accept your unpleasant emotions, fears, sadness and anger without judgement;

May you love them uncompromisingly, unconditionally, as part of you and your experience;

May you believe in yourself, in your ability to accept trials, to welcome them;

May you recognize that mistakes and failures do not exist, but are opportunities to awaken yourself;

May you imagine that you have nothing to learn, that trials are not opportunities to learn but to realize that you already know;

May you imagine that you are perfect, that you are fullness, richness and magic, and that all you lack is the recognition of who you are;

May you imagine that you have the power to create a life that resembles you, an inspiring life, an exciting life, simply in that it starts from you… in your entirety ;

May you imagine for a moment that perhaps you are not a mind in a body, but a body in a mind… That perhaps your soul, your heart are beyond what is physical, visible, solid ;

May you imagine that your most beautiful place is to connect to your heart, to those moments when you feel yourself vibrating, connected to what’s most dear to you, to what’s essential to you ;

May you realize that you have a wonderful contribution to make, and that your greatest happiness lies in identifying it and allowing yourself to offer it;

May you realize that we are all connected, and that our purest joy comes from awakening to this idea;

May you decide to make this rediscovery of yourself your priority in the New Year;

May you hear your soul and its messages, and make them your compass.”
