How Do You Create An Ecosystem To Make Your Dreams Come True?

I’ll never make it. I’ve struggled for so long, what’s the point of going on?
Doubt and fear are present in the daily lives of many of us. So many people are plagued by this feeling of anxiety and uncertainty that, little by little, whispers to the mind, “I won’t make it”. “I didn’t have the right starting conditions, I’m not surrounded by the right people, I’m not evolving in the right environment”. STOP!!! Stop everything!!!
In the lines that follow, we’ll analyze the mechanisms that help shape an ecosystem conducive to achieving our goals and dreams.
The price of resilience
There’s no denying that certain toxic or unfavorable environments minimize your chances of success. Wherever possible, we can only recommend avoiding such environments. But in any case, if an environment minimizes your opportunities, it doesn’t destroy them.
J.K Rowlings, Oprah Winfrey, Marilyn Monroe… These famous people all have one thing in common: success despite adverse conditions.
Their stories feature people who have been orphaned, beaten, abused, marginalized and so on. People who turned their tribulations into a strength, a motivation that enabled them to move forward.
Of course, the difficulties we face as a result of the toxicity of our environment are very real. But it’s all too easy to give up on our deepest aspirations. Other ways of thinking do exist, and they are formidably effective in preserving our right to believe in our dreams, in ourselves.
Full self-awareness
Of course, we can’t choose the environment we’re born into. But it is possible, to a certain extent, to influence it and shape it as best we can. Consciously and unconsciously, voluntarily and involuntarily, we all enclose ourselves, to varying degrees, in sometimes toxic social circles, surrounded by people who are harmful to us.
For example, people who constantly stir up doubt, discouragement, fear, the desire to give up and other unpleasant emotions in our minds. It’s certainly not always possible to simply erase them from our lives. But we can try to set clear limits on what they are allowed to talk about with you, and how they are allowed to do it.
Take control of your environment. Of course it’s going to be hard, of course you’re not going to get there in a snap.
But it’s even harder to live a daily life that doesn’t inspire you at all. It’s harder to wake up every morning knowing you’ve given up. As Oprah Winfrey would say, “Beyond success, I wish as a human being to be the most authentic and fulfilled version of myself.”
It’s truly amazing how rewarding life can become the moment you make the decision to choose and invest in yourself.
With this in mind, the mindfulness techniques explained by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn can help you gain that control over your environment.
Take power and control the zone
Our contemporary society offers unprecedented opportunities for control over our environment. Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Forums, WhatsApp or Telegram groups and much more. These are all tools for socializing with people who enable us to create healthy relationships that can add real value to our aspirations. Friends, mentors whose daily lives and stories can help you create your own momentum towards the life that inspires you.
The first step to building a successful ecosystem is to be aware of the options available to us. So start shaping and influencing your ecosystem, and then take action to bring value to those people you want around you.
No longer accept the excuse of a toxic environment to convince you to give up on your dreams. It’s not easy, but it can be done. There is a way. Life always finds a way, as long as you take the next step.
There’s nothing wrong with daring to try and fail, daring to do things even when they don’t seem very well thought out. The real failure is to give up without trying. There will always be people to criticize you or make fun of you…
Understanding and accepting the process
Everything worthwhile takes time. It’s a truth we’re getting further and further away from in today’s hyper-connected, fast-paced world. Creating an ecosystem for success means, first and foremost, serving oneself and embracing the culture of excellence.
It also means understanding that this process takes time, and that with resilience, an unfavorable environment can become the catalyst for true success. In this process, failures and disappointments are formative.
Indeed, failure is an integral part of the success process, and Thomas Edison is no exception. This famous inventor, to whom we owe the electric lamp, failed several thousand times before creating this now commonplace object. When told that they had failed miserably several thousand times and that it was time to give up, Thomas Edison replied, “I’ve never failed, I’ve simply found 10,000 solutions that don’t work”. Failure has the merit of teaching us what not to do in order to succeed.
Good things take time, and only a culture of excellence will get you there. Whatever your projects, go for them with all your heart.
With this in mind, there are 3 unconscious behaviors you need to be aware of that can precipitate your downfall, especially when you take the decision to restructure your environment to realize your dreams.
INDECISION
Remember this: only those who dare to do nothing ever make mistakes. If there’s one thing that can stagnate an entire life, it’s indecision. Being afraid to take the plunge, dreading any major decision.
But there are no 36 solutions to this problem. You have to practice making decisions every day. Any opportunity is a good opportunity to practice. From choosing your monthly budget, to deciding when to answer your messages or go to bed… All this will teach you not to procrastinate.
THE GAZE OF OTHERS TO BUILD (DESTROY) OUR UNIVERSE
If there’s anything worse than indecision, it’s not acting out of fear of other people’s gaze.
It’s an unpleasant feeling to live a life ruled by others. It’s not as if you’ve had several lives, and once you’ve finished pleasing everyone, you can finally devote yourself to what makes you tick. It’s here and now. Every time you give up on a project for fear of ridicule or “what people will say”, you’re giving up on yourself and your potential.
The worst thing about fear of other people’s judgment is that you almost always end up exaggerating it. We’re convinced that everyone is watching us, and that the slightest misstep will make us a laughing stock. But the fact is, people are probably not as focused on you as you might imagine. And while humans are quick to mock and criticize failure, they’re also the first to applaud when it’s time to succeed.
Don’t pay any more attention to other people’s opinions than you have to, because in the evening of your life, you’ll be alone with your regrets. And it’s not what others thought of your failures that’s the most painful, but everything you didn’t do or dare to do.
CULTIVATING EXCELLENCE THROUGH CONTINUOUS LEARNING
The third parameter to which we must pay particular attention is learning and training. Stopping learning is one of the biggest mistakes you can make.
A diploma even if you’re top of your class doesn’t mean much if you’re not part of a dynamic of constant improvement.
Continuous learning is what allows you to add depth to your judgment, analysis and discernment. It’s what enables you to continually create value in your environment, and thus build the momentum you need to achieve your goals.
Whatever field you’re involved in, read, follow videos, listen to podcasts, take part in training courses, find mentors… There are great limits to what you can do alone. Together, we go further. And whatever difficulties you face, know that you’re not alone. There are plenty of people out there who understand and are ready to support you. Don’t isolate yourself.
