While for a long time it was considered an esoteric science, like many other alternative medicines, today there is a real revival of interest.

What is magnetism?

Before we talk about magnetic passes and the like, I’d like to remind you that: magnetism refers to the use of magnetic fluids to treat certain ailments. It’s a form of non-conventional medicine that transmits vital energy to help the body regain harmony and natural balance.

Indeed, magnetism is based on the principle that all human beings, and everything around them, are composed of energy. In Asia, this is known as Qi. Our physical, mental and emotional health depends on whether or not this energy is flowing properly. It’s on this principle that most energy treatments are based, such as Do in, Ayurvedic massage, Chinese massage, Thai massage, pranatherapy and Shiatsu.

The magnetizer uses various techniques (magnetic pass, magnetic breath, laying on of hands) to provide the recipient with energy. The aim is to heal, soothe physical and emotional pain and achieve energetic healing. However, this alternative therapy in no way replaces the treatments recommended by a doctor.

WHY AND WHEN TO USE MAGNETISM?
In today’s society, magnetism is a popular treatment for a variety of physical, psychological and emotional ailments. In other words, it soothes patients by releasing traumas from their bodies and emotions, and offers energetic healing. Magnetism can therefore be used to help relieve or prevent :

Common health problems such as eczema, warts and burns;
Sleep disorders, stress or depression;
Emotional blockages, traumas…

Magnetizers use a variety of methods, such as the magnetic pass.

MAGNETIZERS: WHO ARE THEY AND WHAT DO THEY DO?
Everyone has the gift of magnetism. But not everyone develops it. To be a magnetizer is to be aware that you have this gift, and to use it to help others. Also known as a “healer”, a magnetizer is someone who senses disorders and can remedy them using a passing technique, for example.

In short, magnetism is seen as a divine and natural gift. In this context, to interact, the therapist needs faith and self-confidence. He diagnoses the patient and examines his energy, his organism, his psyche and his relationships with the outside world. Please note that anyone can develop magnetism.

Whether male or female, the magnetizer is not a doctor, but helps you to achieve energetic healing. His job is to create the right conditions for your body and mind to revitalize. He uses various methods, such as the magnetic pass, to transmit vital energy to organs or parts of the body that are out of balance and in pain.

Admittedly, many people believe that magnetic therapy cannot totally heal. But it can be used to reduce the symptoms of an ailment or prevent it if all the conditions are right. Nowadays, many hospitals call on magnetizers to treat patients as an adjunct to modern medicine.

The different magnetic pass techniques

A magnetic pass is defined as “the transmission of a spiritual and psychic force which excludes all physical contact in its application”. This definition is taken from an article published on the Allan Kardec website. In short, a pass is a slow or rapid movement performed by the magnetizer. It consists of “passing” over the part of the body or organ to be treated, without any physical contact being established.

LONGITUDINAL MAGNETIC PASSES
A longitudinal magnetic pass charges the patient with energy to relieve and soothe. Magnetizers generally use this technique at the beginning of a session, regardless of the pathology being treated. A distinction is made between the longitudinal pass and the longitudinal magnetic pass:

Large current: applied from head to toe, either with one hand, or with 2 hands on either side of the body as required, at a distance of 10 to 20 cm from the body.
Small current: treats only a limited part of the body (head to pelvis; pelvis to feet; or along a diseased area).

For a stimulating effect, the magnetizer can perform the longitudinal magnetic pass slowly and at a distance of 40 to 50 cm.

TRANSVERSE MAGNETIC PASSES
A transverse pass is when the magnetizer places himself in front of the area to be treated and performs a “windshield wiper” movement with his hand. He repeats the movement as many times as necessary, while moving away from the patient’s body. This technique distributes over-concentrated energy to a specific area of the body. It helps relieve disorders caused by excess energy. The magnetizer often uses the transverse magnetic pass at the end of a magnetism session, to avoid the discomfort-inducing overloads that can occur within 24 hours of treatment.

In specific cases, a transverse magnetic pass is made over the head or chest. These have a calming effect. The patient feels a cooling sensation in the cleared area.

PALMAR CIRCUMVOLUTIONS
To heal with this technique, the magnetizer places his hand 2 or 3 cm from the area to be treated. He makes circular movements, the center of which corresponds to the center of the pain. Hand movements should be clockwise. To soothe pain, he widens the circles and narrows them if he wishes to perform an energetic action.

HAND IMPOSITIONS
These are used to treat patients by acting on their energy zones.

One or both hands are placed 10 to 15 centimetres above the area to be treated. This is done for 2 to 4 minutes;
Finger imposition involves applying the fingertips to the painful part of the body.

What other techniques does the magnetizer use?

In addition to the magnetic pass, the magnetizer uses several other techniques. These include :

Direct contact:
Magnetic massage, in which the magnetizer transfers an energy flow that brings well-being by touching the part to be relieved;
Effleurage: the magnetizer gently caresses the area of the body to be treated, applying gentle pressure from top to bottom;
Friction, in which the magnetizer energetically strokes the area to be treated;
Hot or cold breaths, which either stimulate or have a calming effect.
