3 Tips And 1 Exercise To Stop Being Jealous!

When controlled, jealousy can be seen as proof of love and the fact that you care about your other half. In reality, it hides something deeper and should not be taken lightly.
It can be synonymous with a real malaise and an obvious lack of self-confidence, but also, by correlation, of confidence in the other person. Sometimes it’s a fine line between jealousy and paranoia! In a healthy, well-balanced relationship, you don’t chase your other half, you don’t prevent her from seeing her friends, you don’t throw tantrums about the way she dresses or because she receives a text message from an acquaintance.
HOW TO STOP FEELING JEALOUS?
1/ Get help with a specialist to get rid of jealousy
2/ Fight bad memories of the past to maintain your current relationship
3/ Use self-confidence exercises to reassure yourself
You too suffer from jealousy, because every second away from your loved one turns into a moment of doubt, fear and anxiety. So to stop experiencing such painful moments, to stop being jealous, and to get back to the fulfilling relationship you’ve always dreamed of, I invite you to read the following carefully.
WHY SHOULDN’T YOU BE JEALOUS?
It’s true that some people see jealousy as a positive thing, because it shows that you care. However, this doesn’t mean that there aren’t negative sides to it – quite the contrary! In fact, in certain situations, jealousy and jealousy-related feelings should not be exaggerated, as they can be the cause of many problems and crises in a relationship. You can’t rely solely on jealousy to consider the good of your relationship and/or your partner’s feelings. It wouldn’t make sense!
The first thing that should push you to better control your jealousy – and not make it go away, because in small doses it’s healthy – is quite simply the fact that you’re going to jeopardize the relationship by not letting your partner breathe. You can’t spend all your time together hoping that the relationship will progress in this way.
One of the main causes of break-ups linked to jealousy is the fact that you’re always with each other and can’t stand each other in the long run. It’s normal to get upset when you see your wife being hit on in front of you, and it’s understandable to wonder when a stranger likes one of your partner’s photos, but unjustified jealousy is dangerous.
It’s important to control your emotions when you’re in a relationship, so as not to create tension. Being jealous can be fun, but it can quickly become unbearable when we argue every night because nothing works between us. It’s often the only high point in a relationship. The only time we don’t stagnate is when we have that famous crisis. But that’s not the only basis for a solid relationship. It’s important to live something else so as to feel good and have a healthy relationship.
When we’re jealous, we tend to ask too much of ourselves, and that’s obviously something we shouldn’t do. It’s not about hurting your partner, it’s about hurting yourself. When we have a crisis, we can confess our feelings, cry, tell him/her how much we care about him/her, so we put enormous pressure on ourselves, find it hard to manage our feelings and inevitably the person we share our life with won’t accept it, at least not in the long term.
Jealousy is negative for both you and your partner, and that’s one of the most important things to understand when it comes to fighting it. You’re not just doing it to please her, but also to destroy yourself. Let’s step out of married life for a moment: you mustn’t be jealous for your own sake, because you’re denying yourself happiness by acting in this way.
Once again, it’s understandable to feel a twinge of guilt when you see things you don’t like; you’re afraid for your relationship and that’s normal. However, you mustn’t let it get out of hand and cause tension.
FIGHTING JEALOUSY: HOW TO SUCCEED?
I’m well aware that if you’ve typed “I don’t want to be jealous anymore” into a search engine before arriving on my website, you’ve probably already read many books, worked on managing your emotions, maybe even had therapy sessions…
And yet, nothing has worked?
Don’t beat yourself up about it. You’re going to win this tough battle. But don’t try to bury it and forget it, as you’ve been taught until now, because it will come back even stronger.
So how do you fight jealousy? How can you defeat it forever and make sure it never comes back?
The first piece of advice I’m going to develop is both simple and decisive: you must create the life of your dreams and please yourself before you want to please others, especially your other half.
As I explained in another of my writings on the subject, fighting jealousy requires a positive state of mind, not a fixation on this painful feeling and the problems it will cause in your relationship.
This is the major difference to remember, you have to change the way you think about things, and consequently the way you live. The more importance you give to jealousy, the less chance you’ll have of overcoming it. In order to provide you with concrete solutions, I suggest you carry out an exercise that will highlight your vision of the perfect life.
AN EXERCISE TO STOP BEING JEALOUS!
Take a sheet of paper and write down the perfect moments you’d like to experience with your partner, but also the ones your partner would like to experience with you. Take charge of your day-to-day life and decide on the days when you’re going to set up these moments together or alone, so you can gain confidence and stop fixating on your jealousy. You need to take action to understand that you have no reason to be possessive, because you’re the only one who makes your love dream, and vice versa.
From now on, you’re going to have to concentrate on making those moments you’ve written down in black and white perfect. It’s by showing your partner that you know how to take care of yourself and that you do everything possible to satisfy him/her that you’ll be able to gain confidence.
Being happy in your life is the best way to combat lovesickness!
PAST AND JEALOUSY: UNTIE THE KNOT!
The past plays a major role in your present. So stop fixating on negative events and focus on the future. I’m well aware that it’s easier to remember unpleasant moments than happy ones in a relationship, but just because one person may have betrayed you doesn’t mean that everyone will act the same way.
Loving means learning to trust each other.
It’s a simple fact, but a painful one to accept. In most cases, jealousy stems from a fear you’ve already experienced because you’ve suffered in the past, or simply because you want to avoid suffering. It prevents you from moving forward in your life and making important decisions. Now is the time to fight it, because it often spoils your life and makes your relationship unstable. You have everything to be happy.
To do this, you first need to take the time to identify it properly. It’s only by understanding its origins that you can combat it effectively.
You need to know how to live in harmony with your past, however painful it may have been. It has shaped you into the person you are, and you know that you’ll never experience anything like it again, especially if you’ve already experienced heartache. Jealousy can easily be overcome if you decide to take action as quickly as possible.
HOW TO GET HELP TO STOP BEING JEALOUS!
There’s nothing dishonorable about asking for help from the outside world – quite the opposite, in fact. Sometimes it’s necessary to call on the analysis of someone who’s confronted with this problem on a daily basis, in order to determine the best course of action to combat this phenomenon.
When it comes to love behavior, it’s only by pinpointing the problem and determining a relevant plan of action that we can move forward properly. It’s essential to work on yourself first, because you need to realize that your partner is not your property!
