“You have everything you need to succeed! But it’s not for me to tell you, it’s for you to understand and assimilate it”. This phrase was uttered to me in my youth by my coach. I might as well tell you that to analyze such words, you need to know yourself, which is why, in my opinion, your ego will enable you to move forward.

17 years later, the conclusion is simple: I lacked the ego to become a professional sportswoman!

DON’T LET OUR SOCIETY GET YOU DOWN!
This notorious thinking that leads us to turn our talent towards fear. Fear of failure, fear of not succeeding, fear of being judged by others.

Today, when I analyze the decisions I made back then, I realize the mistakes I made. Needless to say, a strong ego is always frowned upon in our society. The same society that criticizes people who are able to assert themselves and want to succeed in everything they do!

REGRET OR GIVE EVERYTHING, YOUR EGO WILL ENABLE YOU TO MOVE FORWARD…OR NOT!
To succeed in any field, you need to condition your mind and follow your desires. However, adopting the wrong frame of mind and suppressing your ego will only condition you to your downfall, as you’ll always have a feeling of incompleteness and a consequent desire to fill a gap!

You’ll regret (as I do – quite frankly) not having been able to motivate your mind and condition yourself for the success that’s right in front of you.

Simply because society’s opinion counts, because you want to be admired and envied by the majority of people around you, but jealousy is also omnipresent. You have to get over it. In difficult times, your ego will keep you going.

Don’t worry about what people will say, because you simply can’t please everyone. The most important thing is to maintain your self-esteem or pride, and at the same time to preserve your values.

EGO SUPPORTER, WITHOUT SHAME!
Today, I admire great champions like Michael Jordan, business leaders who have changed the world like Steve Jobs, and certain politicians.

Even if I don’t approve of all their choices or their way of being, it seems obvious to me that these Men (with a capital M, which includes the influential women of this world) have all fought the fear of appearances to put themselves forward. Like them, if you can work on it, your ego will allow you to move forward.

Most of the people who make history, or have made history, have or had an oversized ego.

Writing an article like this has required me to put forward my thoughts and opinions. So dear readers, if you have a child or loved one around you who wants to follow their dreams, and you want them to be happy, remember to nurture just one thing: their ego!
