Self-Love: The Magic Routine For Loving Yourself A Little More Every Day

Self-love is one of the pillars of a happy and successful life. Unfortunately, we haven’t learned to love ourselves. That’s why, in this article, I’m sharing with you a magical routine to love yourself a little more, every day.
1 – I breathe
Self-love means refocusing on yourself and putting yourself back at the center of your life.
Every day, we breathe tens of thousands of times without realizing it, yet breathing is what allows us to live.
So when we take a few conscious breaths, we feel fully alive, and that’s when self-love can spring forth.
Yes, we’re alive, and it’s no accident. We’re here on Earth, and we belong here.
That’s why you shouldn’t be afraid to be you, you belong here, and love yourself with all your heart just for that.
To love yourself a little more, every morning, take 10 deep breaths. Take your time and feel the breath of life flowing through your body.
2 – I smile to learn self-love
All too often, we jump out of bed and the to-do list is already scrolling through our heads. Our faces become concentrated, and maybe even stressful.
Self-love means no more stress, especially in the morning.
So, every morning, after breathing 10 times, smile. No reason. Just smile.
Let your smile infect every other part of your face and infuse its simple joy throughout your body and heart.
Life is magic, it’s a miracle you’re here reading these words, so don’t let stress dictate your life.
Loving yourself a little more, every day, means learning to make your joy your priority, first thing in the morning.
So remember to smile as soon as you wake up!
3 – I set an intention to develop self-love
Too often, we live our days on autopilot. Yes, we do what we do all the time and only react to the problems that come and go.
In fact, we all too rarely take control of our days. Yes, we let our thoughts, our habits, other people and the vagaries of life tell us what to feel and what to experience at any given moment.
When the power belongs to us, every moment.
Self-love is about taking back control of our lives.
And it requires intention: what’s important to you today? What do you want to experience today?
Don’t let the vagaries of life decide for you. Yes, decide what you want to see in your life! After all, you attract what you want. So take a moment each day to say what you want most, and let it come to you.
To love yourself a little more, every day, remember to clearly formulate an intention for your day. This way, you’ll take your happiness back into your own hands, and you’ll no longer feel like a victim of others and of life.
4 – I compliment myself
Just as we haven’t learned to love ourselves, we haven’t learned to compliment ourselves. Indeed, we’ve been told it’s prideful.
And yet…
Complimenting ourselves is magic!
It opens our hearts wide to the good and beautiful in ourselves. And it’s the only way we can give that to the world.
So it’s time to reconsider our belief that complimenting ourselves is prideful. It’s not. In fact, complimenting ourselves is the surest way to offer the best of ourselves to the world and to others.
Self-love is about revealing ourselves, about seeing the good and the beautiful in ourselves.
So, to love yourself a little more every day, give yourself 2 compliments: 1 about your body and 1 about your qualities at heart. In fact, every day, take good care of your light and nourish it with kind words!
5 – I congratulate myself on developing self-love
Just as we don’t know how to compliment ourselves, we don’t know how to congratulate ourselves either.
In other words, every day we don’t feel like we’re doing anything right, or even that we’re evolving and growing.
Yet every day is an opportunity for us to learn and become even better.
It’s not about performance, but rather about human qualities.
Nor is it about what you do for others, but rather about what you do for yourself.
Self-love is about being aware of the path you walk every day, of all the little seeds you sow. Because life isn’t about waiting to be perfect, it’s about learning and becoming better every day.
Life is a journey, not a destination.
So don’t wait until you’re this way or that way to love yourself. Love yourself simply because you’re already on the road, and that’s all you’ve got to look forward to: learning, growing, moving forward.
So, to love yourself a little more each day, take a few moments to congratulate yourself on something. Something you’ve done, learned or understood. Yes, every day, see how far you’ve come and be proud of it.
6 – I forgive myself
We make mistakes and we always will. So stop believing all those guilt-inducing beliefs that perfection is possible and necessary.
In fact, you have every right to make mistakes. In fact, it’s perfectly normal.
How can we learn? How can we grow?
Do you really think we’ll ever be done learning? After all, there’s so much to learn, and making mistakes is a natural part of the learning process.
So, throughout our lives, we’re going to make mistakes.
So, what are we going to do? Continue to feed our shame and guilt, a little more every day?
How about stopping?
Self-love means understanding and accepting that our mistakes are part of the path. Because in every mistake, there’s a lesson, an opportunity to learn something and become a better person.
That’s why, to love yourself a little more, every day, get into the habit of forgiving yourself for your mistakes, all of them!
Know that for some mistakes, you’ll have to forgive yourself again and again, and that’s perfectly normal. Forgiveness is also a process.
7 – I make peace, the last step in the magic self-love routine
All too often, first thing in the morning, our minds turn to the past, and we torture ourselves over our mistakes and regrets. What’s more, it turns to the future, and we become anxious because we think we’ll never be up to facing the problems we imagine for ourselves.
How can we love ourselves under these conditions?
After all, yesterday we weren’t good enough, and tomorrow we still won’t be.
It’s normal to have regrets about yesterday, but let’s remember that it’s thanks to yesterday that today we’ve learned lessons and are doing better. Yes, we’ve learned from the person we were, so we should replace our shame with gratitude.
Secondly, it’s normal to dread the future and not always feel up to it. Yes, the unknown is scary. But here, let’s remember that today, we’re doing our best and preparing for tomorrow. We’ll make mistakes, that’s for sure, but we’ll learn! And that’s the most important thing.
Self-love is to stop tormenting ourselves about the person we were and the person we’ll be. It’s about coming back to the present, coming back to the person we are and having full confidence in them.
So, to love yourself a little more every day, remember to always come back to now and tell yourself that you’re doing your best and that you’re a beautiful person, despite your mistakes and despite your weaknesses.
Look at everything you’ve already been through. You’ve come through it well. And you’ll get through it again.
