How To Be More Fulfilled In Your Life: My 10 Daily Habits

Being more fulfilled in our lives is one of our greatest goals, but it’s not always easy to achieve. However, I’ve noticed that fulfillment, and more exactly the feeling of happiness, is possible with the implementation of healthy and positive daily habits. In fact, in this article, I’m going to share with you my 10 daily habits that help me feel fulfilled and happy in my life. I’m convinced they’ll help you too.
1 – Regular physical activity for a more fulfilling life
This was the first thing I changed in my life when I decided to take back control of my life, and therefore myself.
Regular physical activity secretes happiness hormones such as endorphins. This soothes us physically, mentally and emotionally.
What’s more, it greatly improves our self-confidence and self-esteem.
That’s why, if you want to feel more fulfilled in your life, it’s essential to move your body!
So choose the way that suits you best: walking, swimming, yoga, weight training, badminton…
2 – Read books to enjoy the benefits of reading
Indeed, I’ve noticed that reading has many benefits. First of all, it’s calming, because when we read, we practice deep breathing, which calms the body and mind.
What’s more, it’s nourishing, as we learn many things or escape into imaginary worlds.
In other words, reading enables us to develop both intellectually and emotionally. In particular, it teaches empathy and compassion.
That’s why reading books is a really healthy and positive daily habit if you want to feel more fulfilled in your life.
3 – Training in personal development for a more fulfilling life
I discovered personal development at a time in my life when I was fed up with not being happy, and wanted things to change.
So I looked for advice, readings, videos and training courses.
Today, not a day goes by that I don’t read a book that helps me develop personally. I also regularly watch videos. It’s become a way of life.
And, I’m convinced that to be more fulfilled in your life, training in personal development is necessary. So, what are you waiting for to implement this healthy and positive habit?
4 – The practice of mindfulness and meditation
Every day, I make a point of practicing mindfulness while walking and meditating a little in the morning and a little in the evening.
Because these are moments that allow you to refocus on what’s essential, to let go of tension and mental ruminations. It feels really good!
That’s why, if you want to feel more fulfilled, go for it. Start small, but start now.
5 – Start a diary to feel more fulfilled in your life
Writing a diary may make you smile, but it’s a healthy, positive habit that helps you to feel more fulfilled in your life.
Because writing about your day, your worries but also the good times, trying to put your feelings and emotions down in writing, is soothing and constructive!
In fact, as the pages go by, we get to know and understand ourselves better, so we’re in a better position to know what’s good for us and what’s not.
So we live more consciously, more aligned, and that’s really essential if we’re to be more fulfilled. So, what are you waiting for?
6 – Plan your day the day before
Every night, I plan my day for the next day. Not down to the smallest detail, but I plan the important moments, the priority tasks.
This way, I can see things more clearly and the next day, I’m much more efficient and confident too. I know what I have to do and how I’m going to do it. That’s motivating.
Because to be more fulfilled in your life, it’s essential to have the feeling of moving forward, of evolving. And planning your day helps you to stop procrastinating. You take action, and that feels really good.
7 – Avoid distractions to feel more fulfilled in your life
This habit is probably the one I’m most proud of. Because I don’t feel like I’m wasting my time anymore. Now, with TikTok, that’s not always easy (laughs).
So, avoiding distractions means, first of all, reviewing all the notifications on your phone, making a drastic sorting out of the applications, and also reducing TV time.
In fact, it means taking full responsibility for our time. Because our time is limited, and our sense of fulfillment and well-being depends on how we use it.
So avoid distractions as much as possible, and get on with the really important things.
People keep asking me how I manage to read so much (an average of 200-300 books a year). But it’s because I’ve stopped wasting my time on distractions and concentrated instead on what really fascinates and nourishes me in life: reading.
8 – Sort out my cupboards
To be more fulfilled, it’s very important to sort out your home, your cupboards and, more generally, to change the way you consume!
Objects influence our sense of well-being. So if it’s overflowing everywhere and full of things you don’t like, you can’t feel good about yourself at home.
So roll up your sleeves and sort things out. Then, little by little, change the way you consume: put your conscience back in, and buy only what’s really essential to your happiness. Don’t bother with the rest.
This habit has completely transformed my life and contributes to my happiness today. So, what are you waiting for?
9 – See the people you love regularly to feel more fulfilled in your life
Everyday life goes by too fast, and we have the unfortunate tendency to give priority to worries, then to distractions.
And yet, to be more fulfilled in life, we need to have warm contact with the people we love.
That’s why you should get into the habit of seeing your family and friends more regularly. Suggest outings or simply go for a coffee. Call a little more often, send a little more messages.
You’ll see, it’ll contribute greatly to your sense of happiness.
10 – Develop your curiosity to be more fulfilled in your life
I’ve discovered that to be more fulfilled, we need to be open to new things and new ideas.
That’s why it’s healthy and positive to fuel our curiosity. How can we do this? By trying new activities, by learning new things.
You can do this by reading books, listening to podcasts, watching or attending conferences, taking part in workshops of all kinds, for example.
You need to get out of your comfort zone to feel fully alive.
