Stop Having To Put Up With Life: Tips For Moving Forward

Life seems difficult. Because there are hard knocks and events from the past that weigh on us. We try to move forward in life, but we can’t really do it. So how do we go about it? Where do we start? Here’s some insightful advice on how to put your life behind you and move forward.
Stop clinging to excuses and get your act together
You didn’t have perfect parents. At school, it wasn’t easy. At work, you’ve experienced many setbacks, disappointments and unpleasant surprises. And on a personal level, it’s the same thing.
But that’s normal.
Yes, it’s normal to “collect” painful events from the past.
However, these trials and tribulations of the past should not become excuses for not moving forward in our lives.
In fact, all too often, and without even realizing it, we say to ourselves: “I can’t do this, or I can’t do this anymore, because in the past, I’ve been through this.”
In other words, because we’ve experienced failure or disappointment in the past, we don’t really dare live our lives anymore.
That’s why, if we want to stop suffering, it’s time to take control of our lives.
In other words, it’s time to stop clinging to excuses and get on with our lives.
In concrete terms, this means you have to stop letting your past dictate your choices today.
In fact, stop defining yourself by what happened to you. Stop positioning yourself as a victim.
Instead, turn what happened to you into strengths and lessons to be learned so you can bounce back here and now.
Your past isn’t a prison, it’s a school. A springboard! That’s what it means to stop having to put up with life and take charge of your life. Learn and bounce back!
Stop seeing everything in black and white and stop being a victim!
To suffer in life is to take an extremely negative view of yourself and your life.
It means sighing at the slightest opportunity and saying to yourself: “What’s the point? It won’t do any good.
Stop!
Stop seeing everything in black. Instead, expect the best.
In fact, just because you’ve experienced disappointment and setbacks in the past doesn’t mean that you will today.
In fact, I don’t think there’s a worse belief than constantly preparing for the worst and seeing everything in black.
Because that’s the best way to lose your enthusiasm, and so stop doing anything in your life.
We run the risk of becoming fatalistic and, worse still, bitter.
So, if you don’t want to become this way, it’s time to change the way you look at your life, at yourself and at life in general.
To do this, go back in time.
Is your past 100% negative? No. Then you can see that it’s not all doom and gloom.
So take a deep breath, lift your head and allow yourself to believe.
Practise gratitude for a more positive outlook
To stop having to put up with life is to be able to marvel and feel grateful for what you have, for who you are and where you are.
Admittedly, this isn’t always easy.
And yet, being able to do this is essential to moving forward in life.
It’s not by looking at things in a negative light and vibrating with negative energies that we’ll be able to get on with our lives.
So how do you practice gratitude when you’re starting from scratch?
Start small.
Take a few moments, right here, right now. Close your eyes and list 3 things you’re grateful to be alive for.
3 things. Things you want.
Ask yourself, “If I took off my dark glasses and put on rose-colored ones, just for a moment, what would be the 3 reasons I have for feeling gratitude?”
Remain calm in all circumstances so that you don’t have to endure your life.
To stop having to put up with life is to stop panicking when you hit a rough patch. On the contrary, it’s about keeping our composure, and more precisely, our dignity.
Instead of rolling on the floor, we can stay upright and calm.
The problem is that we’ve learned to panic, grumble and moan.
In fact, fear and anxiety take possession of us, without us realizing that this is how we endure our lives.
Because we can’t see clearly and therefore make good decisions when everything inside us is trembling with fear.
That’s why knowing how to stay calm is a quality you need to develop in your life.
The art of remaining stoic. This doesn’t mean feeling nothing, or pretending not to.
To be stoic is to be aligned with how you feel. In other words, it’s knowing that we’re afraid or angry. But it’s about not letting our emotions get the better of us. And it means not letting them express themselves in any way.
Can you see the difference? Can you see how this could help you stop having to put up with life?
So, I wholeheartedly invite you right now to ask yourself what subject or area of your life you need to learn to stay calm about.
Set goals to move your life forward
Living your life is when you stop setting goals. When we let the fear of failing, of learning, of trying, stop us from doing what’s important to us.
And there are many of us in this situation.
In fact, we haven’t really learned to overcome our fear of failing and taking on new things.
Today, we believe that when we’re afraid, it’s not normal. In other words, when we’re afraid, it means we’ll never be up to the task, so we’re better off not trying.
But that’s not true. Being afraid is normal. It’s necessary.
In fact, it’s because you’re afraid that you’ll be able to give your best. In fact, fear doesn’t stop you. On the contrary, it helps you move forward.
So, it’s time for you to set yourself goals to move forward in life, to stop putting up with it.
So, if you were to set yourself a goal right now, what would it be?
Always move forward and stop having to put up with life
The problem is that we spend too much time looking back.
We look at our past, examine it from every angle and try to understand why.
But we don’t realize that, in the meantime, our lives are passing us by. In other words, we’re missing out on many opportunities to move forward and be happy.
That’s why I wholeheartedly invite you to keep moving forward. Look ahead!
That’s why you should stop worrying about the “why” and start thinking about the “how”.
In other words, ask yourself: “How can I learn from my past to live better in the present and build a better future?”
That’s the secret to getting out of life and finally giving yourself a chance to be happy! What do you think?

I recommend this inspiring book:
Wave by Sonali Deraniyagala
Sonali Deraniyagala shares her harrowing experience as a survivor of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, exploring grief, loss and the difficult path of moving forward after profound tragedy.
I’ve read a few memoirs based on experiences during the 2004 tsunami. I saw this book recently and was curious to compare it.
In memoirs, it’s always assumed that the author survived, but part of the tension should be knowing what happened to friends or family. Here, that’s revealed in the back of the book, which is slightly disappointing, but I soon realized that this book isn’t about the tsunami but about the grieving process, as there’s a lot to learn about how the author lives after her devastating loss.
I appreciate the long delay between the tsunami and the writing of the book, as it allowed the author to reflect without the book being a mere cathartic exercise.
The writing is wonderful and extremely personal. We really feel this woman’s grief without ever falling into sentimentality.
It’s a difficult book to read because it takes the reader to places we don’t necessarily want to go, but I recommend it to everyone.
