Refocus On Yourself: For Greater Fulfillment And Enjoyment Of The Present Moment

Refocusing on ourselves is something we often tend to forget. With our fast-paced lifestyles and the tons of tasks we have to carry out every day, we’re constantly in a hurry. As a result, we rarely, if ever, have the time to sit down and clear our minds. Or to simply take the time to think about ourselves and our needs.

Refocusing on oneself: what exactly does this mean?

In fact, refocusing on oneself is just about directing our focus on the things that make us feel good right now. It’s about being aware of every moment in our lives. In other words, the good times and the bad, so that we can regain control of our lives.
Refocusing on yourself: a detail not to be overlooked
It’s a fact! Our modern lifestyle requires us to be constantly on the move. We need to be efficient at work, confident in our family life, do this and that in record time… In short, every day we’re constantly called upon and confronted with various responsibilities. Of course, these activities contribute to our personal fulfillment and boost our values. What’s more, a teฬte-aฬ-teฬte with yourself is always the ideal opportunity to clear your mind. But also to banish negative thoughts and recharge your batteries. So that you don’t let yourself be overwhelmed by incessant procrastination, daily anxieties, mental ruminations and pressures – from others, from the system, but also from what you put on yourself.
But that’s not all! Refocusing on oneself is also an opportunity to regain control of oneself, to regain self-confidence, to grow and to take stock of who we are, what we’ve achieved and what still needs to be done to be in tune with ourselves.
How to refocus on yourself
As you can see, whether you want to regain your self-confidence, get a better grasp of the future or simply be more in tune with yourself, it’s imperative to start by refocusing on yourself. What’s more, there are a number of ways of doing this on a day-to-day basis.
MEDITATION
It’s a proven fact that in order to refocus, it’s important to relax. But above all, you need to be in perfect harmony with yourself. And there’s nothing better than a meditation session. Practicing meditation is a genuine act of kindness towards ourselves, and is akin to taking a break to reconnect with our inner selves. FASTING
In addition to eliminating toxins, fasting also creates a state conducive to reflection, perfect for refocusing on oneself. And with good reason: under the effect of food deprivation, the mind becomes more ego-oriented. This is due in part to changes in brain function. Combined with a sporting activity such as yoga or Pilates, fasting allows you to clear your mind, chase away negative thoughts and bring our endless stream of thoughts under control.
CREATE
It may sound far-fetched to say the least, but it’s been proven that creative activity helps us get back to basics. Indeed, taking the time to create something with our own hands is a very rewarding experience. What’s more, when we create, we have the opportunity to banish negative thoughts and release emotions that overwhelm us in a different way. What’s more, there are many different ways to create.
