Lightweight economy 6″ caliper. Surprisingly repeatable measurements.
Automatic “ON” at first slide movement is new for me. I have not read (or tested) if it turns off automatically. If not, battery life could be short if caliper in bumped “on” accidentally.
Display is easy to see and read. The slide works pretty well too. There is no thumb screw slide lock though. Using 1″, 2″ and 3″ SPI ground standards, I was able to get mostly repeatable/consistent measurements of 001″ under caliper reading (example: standard=2.00″ caliper reading=1.99″).
Do not know how long this item may last, but so far, it has been a good caliper to have handy for general/non-critical measuring up to 6″. I think I’ll order another (Choice) after a while of random use.
